Had a little run in with the 350Z, those things are no sloutch!
Coming back from school, I saw a 350Z making a right turn. I immedately switched to the left lane to turn left but I got delayed at a redlight. As soon as I turned he was a few blocks ahead. I was zooming in and out of traffic trying desperately to catch up. Just when I thought I was catching up, the bastard does some evasive manuevers, trying to show off maybe?
As soon as he ran into traffic I snuck in behind him. As traffic picked up he slowly accelerated, to my surprise the stock exhaust on that car sounds a lot like the 355 Ferrari. After I got around traffic we both were doing about 30-40 mph before he punched it. As he slowed down I put her in 2nd gear, we both lined up again and I got a good glimps of the driver. To my amazement it was an older fella wearing shades
This time I was ready, as soon as he punched it, I did my b!tch out of hell rolling launch (Clutch in, revs go redline, dump clutch) in 2nd gear. Once the clutch was dumped my tires started spinning, then it finally hooked. At this time he was a good two cars ahead, but I was surprised on how long it took me to reel him in. I was in the middle of 3rd gear when we let off, he was a hair ahead of me. At the pace that I was pulling, I estimate that I would put a good car lenght on him if we continued to 100mph. Not bad!
He looked over and gave me the thumbs up, I gave him a friendly smirk and a head nod

Sounds cool, I know those 02 M Coupes are DEF. great cars, fast and handle well, and I think look great. Too bad the Z4 is so goddamn ugly, underpowered and heavy. 225HP for 40K+??? What? I think with that and the new 7 Series BMW is going to lose some serious ground in the long run.

Love those m coupes!!!!!!!!!
M Power I totally love your car!!!!!!!!!!
It is a love it or hate it type of car!!!!!!!! I for one love it.
James Bond all the way,, I only wish it was wider on the inside, it is very narrow,,, and i felt really cramped......
In any case I love those damn cars,,,,,,,,,
What ever you do never trade it in, nothing you could get would be any better, for the money that is.

I wouldn't call your m coupe a slouch either. S54 with 315hp. Thats a nasty engine. Test drove a '02 m roadster. That car was fast, I mean fast . But I am sure M powered already knows that. BTW have you taken your m coupe to the drag strip yet? If so, What was your ET ?
(I realize that picture of your car is at the dragstrip on second glance, at first I thought you were gettin sideways on a track not on your burnout! Then I saw the tree..)

Thanx man
My interior is actually very spacious, comparable to the Z06 interior as far as space goes.
You want cramped? Step inside the S2000.

Yes, my best so far has been 13.9 @ 106 mph, thats with a 2.4 60' time. My Drag radials is coming on this winter and im shooting for high 12's at sea level.

I've driven my parents M Coupe a few times, although it's the '00 with 200-something HP. At 6'2" it's too small inside, since I just can't stretch out my legs, which is why I can't get one. But it's still *quite* fun to drive. In fact, that's why I wanted to get a new car, because I wasn't happy with my Eclipse any more after that. But "my" Z is still a couple months away...
