On purpose? no, it was definetly an accident, but it is the fault of the mowing company not mine therefore his insurance should fix it not mine. Explain to me why I should pay a $500 deductible to get this fixed when it is clearly something I did not do. I wouldn't be making such a big deal out of it if the guy would not have flat out called me a liar.

Be careful with mowers people. I have a friend who's 5 yr old daughter was playing while the lawn was being mowed. The mower kicked out a piece of rebar and it hit her between the eyes. Took her about a year to fully recover. Doc says it damn near killed her.

Yeah, that makes my issue with a lawn mower seem very very very small...kinda puts things into perspective doesn't it?

Let me speak in defense of some of the landscapers out there, or at least the ones who speak english, I dont really know what the other ones are thinking. I own my own landscaping buisness and cut and trim a lot of lawns everyday. We use a big commercial mower and trimmers. Just to put in prospective, I've ran over rocks and tennis ***** that have shot into the next door neighbors lawn. However this is uncommon because I make sure to look for that stuff before I start mowing. Also when I cut along the street I make sure to cut so that the chute is pointing away from the street so I dont damage cars. However accidents do sometimes happen and I agree that the manager should have been somewhat forgiving and offered something, maybe to pay like half the price, because in his defense, how does he know you're not lying.

The main reason I'm posting is because a sliver Z parks right along the curb of a lawn I mow every week. I've gone as far as to knock on the neighbors doors to try and find out whos it is so I can ask them to move it but I could never figure out. We do it the same day every week at the same time of day so I've stopped feeling bad for the car, I do still try and avoid hitting it with anything though.

What are you going to do though, drive an alternate route every time you see an "evil" lawnmower? lol What happend to you sucks, but I assure you it was an accident and I'm sure you're not the only one its happend to.

I totally agree, I know it was an accident and my initial reaction was anger, and I have calmed down since then. The guy who hit my car did not mean to do it, but the manager of the company has insurance for a reason and the way he blatantly attempted to belittle me was uncalled for. I also am not generalizing all lawn mower companies, but the guy did not handle it appropriately and if he would have agreed to pay for half of the repair damages I would have gladly accepted that.
