The Best Feeling: Routine Maintanance With The Good Stuff
Maybe I'm a little weird to feel this way.
Yesterday went to my friend's shop for routine maintenance.
1. Installed Porterfield R4-S brake pads (been on stock squealers for a few weeks)
2. Drained Motul brake fluid for new Motul brake fluid
3. Motul oil change with Mobil 1 oil filter
4. K&N Recharge kit. Cleaned my Injen cone filter from my CAI...from less than a year of use it was filthy with greasy caked on dirt.
5. Rotated tires (I have 275's front and rear)
6. Washed the car at the shop.
I felt renewed, rejuvenated, and fell in love with my car all over again as I just gawked at my fat 275 front tires...mmm my car is beefy.
Now I feel properly prepared and weaponized for next weekend's Night of the Living Dead night autocross (a once a year event that everyone in our region looks forward to) at California Speedway...autocross at 1am, crazy.
Anyone else get a chubby just from routine maintenance? I get that Massengill Spring fresh feeling from giving my car what it needs.

Quest.. does everyone race with their window down? Is that to prevent flying glass in an accident? OR does it have to do with the A/C drawing power.
Please enlighten a newbie who eventually wants some amateur track time.
And I wish I had a garage to do maintenance on the car.

Also you obviously don't want the AC on and it get's hotter than a mudda out here in socal. The last time I went to Willow Springs, the hot winds blew dust into my car leaving a thin coating on everything.
