Anyone have Pics with bra installed
I am thinking about picking up a bra for use on long trips to protect the paint, but I haven't seen a pic, other than the Nissan site. Does anyone who purchased a bra have a pic of their car with the bra on?

Thanks for the pics of the clear 3M bras!
I was actually looking for a pic of a Z with the Nissan vinyl bra on. I take the occasional long highway trip, and would like something to use for that. I am not fond of the look of the clear bra, but want occasional chip potection.

Here are a couple of pics of my Silverstone with the nose mask installed. Fits like a glove and I actually like the black on silver look. Not sure how it would look on your Lemans.
Got it from Courtesy Nissan online ...

No offense, but personally I would rather pay 500 hundred dollars every 2 years to get the whole car detailed and all the little nicks taken out of the front bumper than sport some bra around on a 36 thousand dollar car. The front shot if the Z is the best angle of the car and to cover it up with some big huge bra is insane. Once again, no offense--just wanted to see if anybody else feels this way.

I feel the same way, the front is the best looking part of the car, although the quarter angle of the rear roofline comes in a close second. The front looks especially good in the Lemans.
I would hate to chip up the front clip, though. I an nervous about a shops ability to match the paint, 'specially with my color. Using the vinyl bra for runs to Chicago might preserve the paint.
There's a lot of big *** bugs here in the midwest when you get outside of the major cities.

As far as paint matching, the dealer does it perfectly everytime. I just sold my 2001 firebird that I got a hood, spoiler, bodykit and lots of other little pieces painted and they all came out perfectly. I heard the clear bra costs like 700 bucks just for the hood and front of the car. To get the whole car sanded down and resprayed it would only cost twice that at a delaership. But, to each his own.

Maybe you guys can offer some advice? I hit a bump in my 2000 Eclipse while taking a turn too fast, and it really scuffed the bottom right of the front plastic, in front of the wheel. It even scraped off some paint. I don't know what to do to fix it; have it repainted, or replace it? My main concern is the resale value, because I'm selling it once I get the Z. And it was a fine car, so it kinda just makes me feel bad to leave it that way.

If the size of area that has the paint scuffed off is less than 6 inches in diameter this is what you do: Got to your Mitsubidhi dealer and give the parts desk the vin# of your eclipse and buy a bottle of touch up paint. It will run you around 10-15 bucks. Apply it to the area after you sand it down with a fine grit piece of sandpaprer. They sell little kits at Pep Boys for sanding for a couple bucks. For the rest of the area with probably deep scratches, I would reccomend buying a tube of GS-37 at Pep Boys or any other major car care store around you. This stuff takes anything out. Good luck.

Thanks for the pics of the bra on the Silverstone Ken. I think it looks good. I've got a Silverstone on order, and I bought the same bra a while back.
If you have any other views, please post them also!

No offense taken Turcoupe...to each his own. I hate paint/rock chips and this nose mask was a quick fix to avoid them. In fact, the first day I took my Z on the freeway, I got a small paint chip on the front bottom bumper (prior to getting the mask). Paint chips aren't bad on a dark colored car but on my silverstone, the black plastic shows through (or maybe it is primer) so it is pretty noticeable.
I've never had a front end redone but then again the car my Z has replaced is a black Prelude - chips don't show up nearly as much on a black car. Or bug splatters for that matter.
Does a retouch job at the dealer body shop actually run around $500.00? Seems like it would be more. Like I say, never priced it.
For Scafremon - here is another pic of a friend's Brickyard 350 (without a nose mask but the dealer put on the front plate), another friend's '72 240Z (REAL NICE), and my Silverstone with the nose mask on.

Thanks for all the input!
How hard are the nose masks to install? I had an aftermarket one for my old camaro (came with the car) and it was a bear to get on and off.
