I must be a moron b/c I used a bottle of "Gumout Fuel Injector/Carburetor Cleaner" with bar code 0 71948 07518 4 and it did not work. I used a rag, a scotchbrite scrubbing sponge even and I can't get any of the paint off.

What is wrong with me?? Help!

I did it and I like the coordination with the door handle. It also looks good with the white.

mc350z - thanks for the info. The GUMOUT Fuel Injector/Carberator cleaner in liquid form is NOT what you want.

The GUMOUT Carb/Choke Cleaner that comes in an aerosol bottle did it. I wish I could have distinguished... argh!

WoW! My car looks so much better now. Thanks for all the info. I used Napa Carb/Choke/Throttle Body Cleaner and it removed the paint in .2 seconds flat.

Emblems look much better now on my Chrome Silver Z.

Nail polish remover (acetone) did the trick for me.

I know this an old thread but I did this mod recently and decided to post a couple pics. Sorry the front wheels aren't pristine, but brake dust collects quickly.

I was asked once if my Z was a special edition. Pretty funny. I just think they match better with the door handles and goes well with SB.

Sly_Z did this on his PPW and I was very impressed with how it looked, so that's why I did it.

Did mine today. Matches the handles perfectly as noted; also matches my G35 RAYS pretty well too.

Looks good, I wonder what it would look like on my roadster, anyone ever done it to the LS?
