on the rear taillight housing, there is a 1/8" diameter spot where the paint has completely.. deteriorated.

so. what particular action should i take? anybody have similiar experiences? i couldn't really get a good picture, but that white dot is what i'm talking about.

LEMON LAW! LEMON LAW LEMON LAW!

Seriously though, I'd take it to the dealership if you've got a paint problem. That's probably a good spot for water to gather and stand, so I wouldn't let it go too long without paint.

you realize my car has probably been sitting on a boat, and on the parking lot, 3 months before i even bought it. right? annyways, i'm eaving for school soon so i wont have time to address this istuation right now. but the area is plastic, so im not worried about rust or anything. ill probably talk to tonylittell about it. he works at my local dealer.

Looks like a paint flaw that led to corrosion.

Thats nothing. The day my Z gets to the dealership and I show up to pick it up I notice a fingerprint in the paint on my front bumper.
I setup an appointment at the dealer so the "Paint Claim Inspector" can come inspect the thumb print. They didn't give me any hassles because they all knew it showed up with the fingerprint, it is just Nissan procedures they say.
The guy told me that the Z is the only car made by Nissan that is painted by hand and not robotic sprayers. He agrees that it is a finger print and now I just have to schedule my bumper to be repainted.

No way a human could get the paint so thin!
