The dealer Called - now what to do?

I ordered my Z back in June, I never received a confirmation envelope and a call to NNA never got a response, no contact from the dealer ever, until yesterday. He told me my Z would be here Nov. 11th or sooner. He gave me the Vin # so I think it's for real. I had thought that perhaps the dealer never placed the order. Back in June my portfolio would have easily handled the full price of the Z, now ....well you all know whats been going on in the Markets.
I really can't justify the cost anymore....it pains me to say it, but I can no longer afford it unless I go into hoch way over my budget allows. This was a Touring Brickyard, 6MT, Side air bags, kick plates, floor mats....everything except Nav. I still have the order, ( I couldn't bring myself to tell the Dealer I wouldn't take it) at MSRP.....what do I do now.
I have owned every model Z in the past, and I think this is the best one yet. I have had the opportunity to have driven one for a few minutes, and I really want one, but I may have to let this one go and wait till the Market rebounds.....it will ya know someday....and maybe by then they will have a T-top or convertible version.

Dude, take delivery of the Z and then sell if you can, after driving it. I'm sure you be able to pocket some decent green and then place another order and maybe by the time that one comes in you'll be in a better position. I would make some money off it if I were you. I you don't, someone else will..........good luck!
If you can't afford it right now, then don't get it. No point in driving a great car, only to be worried about how you're going to pay it off...Looks like you'll have to pass on this opportunity, but more will come! I guarantee it!
Dude, do you have a ride currently? If you do than why not wait a while.
I don't know how you operate, but selling stocks in a down market is a bad idea.
In other words I would keep the car out of the equation for my portfolio. I think you should have a cash position to use for purchases or take out a loan like 99% of the people.
If you think money is tight try putting away $800/mo. for the next 6 months. Use that money for a down payment.
All I can say is Yes it is nice to have a car that is the hottest ride in town. But They are not going to stop making them any time soon.

I would wait it out. You can get the 2004 model that will have many of the little issues corrected. It will probably have a better stereo and a few other fixes such as a nicer paint job.
If your buying decision is based on what your stock portfolio is doing, you are not keeping enough short term cash on hand (3-5 months salary as a min,) The markets are going to take years to come back not months. Typically the recovery takes as long as it took for the market to go from the high to the low. You are looking at 2.5 years till we recover on the SP500. If you are all NASDAQ, you are probably looking at 7-10 years for the recovery. That being said, save up some cash so you can put some money down and that will reduce your payments.
