So. Cali new delivery dates?
I was wondering if anyone who was affected by the whole longshore strike backup, received any new updates on their car delivery status? My delivery date is 10/21/02, but with all the port backup I don't know if that would be true. One dealership did call me today and they just received a shipment of cars today. So perhaps they are all still coming on time. Thanks for your time.

I'm in Orange County also, though I bought from Riverside County. My due date is 10/24, so I bet our cars are on same ship.
The lockout appears to have affected the offloading of our cars by about 6-10 days. However, I think the dates we received from NNA were conservative by about a week, so my guess is that instead of receiving our cars a week early, we should get them just about on the date we were given when we received our VIN.
The Hual Traveller was scheduled to offload on 9/30. Locout delayed this until 10/13.
World Spirit was scheduled to offload on 10/13. That date was moved to 10/17, 18, or 19. (I'll have the actual date tomorrow).
The next ship was scheduled to offload on 10/25, so that ship shouldn;t be the one with our cars, and my guess is it will offload about 1 week late.
The cars that the dealership told you they received today (which dealership was that by the way) were probably on Hual Traveller. So that was 4 days from offload to dealer. Based on that, I think your 10/21 date should be pretty accurate.

Thanks for the info. I ordered mine from a San Bernardino dealership as well. I had a big problem with Connell Nissan in Costa Mesa and decided to take business else where. I should be hearing from the fleet manager soon, so hopefully he can give me an update on my car. Let me know if you hear anything else.
Thanks again. My order isn't in the soup, but I'll be sure to put it on there soon.

My delivery date from Zisme is November 11, with a promise to try to beat that date. Probably menas my car will be on the ship scheduled to dock in LA October 25. If Scafremon is correct and it docks a week late, the car would be in port around November 2. That would leave 9 days to get from the port to the San Francisco area. It may just happen.

I ordered from Corona Nissan in mid September with a delivery date of "early December, or possibly November." I haven't called to check, but I'm sure it'll push it back a few days. I'd be happy just to get the car this year, because I was pessimistic about the estimation in the first place.

This morning coming to work I passed a big truck that had about 6 new "unwrapped" Z's on their way just south of Escondido on Highway 15, so they are being delivered.

Jeff,
Corona Nissan was trying to tear me a new one by telling me that they needed a $2,000 deposit that was NOT refundable...
So I went elsewhere. It's funny I ordered from the dealer that gave you BS, and you ordered from the dealer that gave me BS.
Heh...

"EEK!" said the cat.
Man, I've been checking this inventory site 3-4 times a day... so I guess it's not that reliable of an indicator.
Congrats! Looks like the new shipment of cars in socal are in.

Jeff, this news of your Z arriving is quite unnerving. You, the guru of 350Z distribution, got blindsided by Nissan. They have had it in for you since the stealth photography trespass. Now they have completely discredited you and all your vin soup work. Those bastards.
More importantly, now I have no idea when to expect my car - later today or after Thanksgiving. I am as lost as ever........
You have your Z and the Angels are in the World Series. Doesn't suck to be you, does it Scaf!?
