Looks good but I have to ask, how do you close the hood? Do you let it go down until it stops at the latch then push it down?Unlike steel sheetmetal standard hoods, lightweight aluminum hoods are best closed by letting it drop from about 18" and up. If you let it stop at the latch then push it down to lock, you run the risk of warping or dimpling the aluminum hood.
there is like a 5inch distance where the hood stays up by itsself...after you lower it a lil bit you just lower it and let it drop to latch like what we usually...i had this same question

hey all, i am still in the process of finishing up the covers. I cut up the inside plastics already, and Im just waiting for new black plates to come in and ill cut up the covers for the battery and brake fluid. ill make another video once everything is 100% installed.
very sweet thanks kopo. As for a group buy I'll have to look into that. I did it once on this forum, and my thread got thrown to the archives section. Also I've learned from group buys that people say they are in, and run the numbers up, but then when it comes time to pay suddenly you have 5 instead of 15 and your out the cash. Let me make a couple calls to see what sort of discount I can get to pass on to you guys. I'm thinking maybe $70-75 shipped.
I'll keep you posted and for the plates here's a pic

I'm still in. I'll commit to $75 right now on a group buy, if you put one together. Curious, since gas-charged struts like this never last as long as the car does, are they commonly available as a replacement when the original ones give out, or are they a "hard to find" item that's going to be impossible to find when I need them, thus making the kit useless?
That still rocks.
That still rocks.
They are readily available. If you lubricate the shocks every quarter no problems should occur for quite some time. I have had a couple of people who have recieved the shocks and it didn't hold the hood up, and the shocks were busted. The company did a swap for me and everybody was happy and back in business. Thanks for the note on the GB...I'm still gathering info from my supplier.
