LOL...talk about a major concidence. My mom was in Florida on a business trip a few months ago, and when she was in the Japan section of Epcot, she saw that same model kit and bought it for me! Due to my crazy work scheule, it's still a work in progress. I've got the wheels/chassis all painted and glued, and I'm working on the interior now. Have you decided what color you'll be painting it yet?

Enjoy the assembly, b/c that's where the fun really is. After you make it, you never look at it again haha.
This Tamiya model is actually pretty old, I made mine before I even had my Z back in 2002.

Make sure you have a good supply of masking tape....putting the gold paint on those tiny little Brembos without dripping it on the rotor was a major pain in the @ss.

I plan on eventually painting mine in Super Black, to match my actual Z. I was originally going to do the interior in black too, but since I've already paid for the orange paint, I'm going to do the seats in the orange leather color instead. Pics will be posted upon completion.

Agreed. I`ve built a few Tamiya aircraft models, and they are definately the best quality. Not a single detail overlooked.
They are probably the most expensive plastic model kits, but if your a purist, they are worth the money.

Networking-networking-networking!

If you live in Dallas, there is:

1.) Z Club of Texas - group of Z enthusiasts and Z owners in the Dallas area who are passionate about Zs. Many are into scale model Z cars also. Club will host the 2006 National Z Convention right here in Dallas! www.zcluboftexas.org

2.) Model clubs, such as International Plastic Modelers Society - North Central Texas, or Metroplex Car Modelers Association. Either group has a number of car modelers who could've pointed you in the right direction for 350 kit sources or the kit could have been bought at the large contests and vendor displays put on by these respective clubs. www.ipmsnct.org

3.) Hobbytown stores - either Hobbytown Plano on Independence and Parker in Plano or Hobbytown Dallas on Walnut Hill and Central Expressway. I know that the shop in Plano has had both the special edition chrome kit and the regular 350Z kit on the shelves for about two years now. www.hobbytown.com

4.) Courtesy Nissan in Richardson. Already mentioned before that they carry both the kits and 350 diecasts.

AFAIK, 24th scale Momo Sport Wheels are not available, but as you can see, 24th scale 18" Nismo LM GT4 wheels and Recaro 350 limited sport seats are!

Just go to a hobby shop or look it up online. I know the hobby shop near me has tons of wheels and other accessories for 1/24 scale models.

Your local model club has lots of resources and vendors who specialize in these type of aftermarket model accessories. www.themcma.com

Specifically, I got the wheels from HobbyLink Japan. www.hlj.com
They are also available from Wild Bill's Hobby Shop in Irving TX

The Nismo body kit is available occasionally on ebay from the maker/seller, Scaleautostyle, in the UK. Otherwise go to www.scaleautostyle.com or http://www.scaleautostyle.com/stockists.php lists the 3 US hobbyshops that stock their products.
