Default Clicking rear axle...

Thought I'd let you guys know, just in case any of you are experiencing this. When pulling away from a standstill my rear axle is making a clicking noise. You can only hear it with the windows down and the radio off. I took it to the dealer and they said there is some sort of retro-fit kit which eliminates the noise. It is on back-order so I'm waiting for the fix. The dealer made it sound like there is a TSB on this but I haven't seen one...

I had what may be a similar, tin-ny rattling noise coming from the rear axle of my G35 Coupe 6M/T. THe rattling occurred whenever a load was applied to the rear axle, such as when moving from a stop.
It turned out that the axle nut needed tightening, which the dealer took care of with the regular service.

yeah...the backorder is nationwide. sounds like it must be a more and more common problem. i know i have it. i'll just call them like 3 weeks before i want to take it in and hopefully the parts will be waiting.

My service manager informed me that someone else had been waiting all summer for theirs... still haven't gotten them in. I guess nissan switched manufacturers of the part.

Well ,while I'm waiting I guess I'll add my new issue to the list. Now my windows are acting funky. When I use the auto-up feature when they hit the top they roll back down about 4 inches then stop...annoying...apparently I need the power control module re-set. Does this mean this could re-occur after the warranty?

How bad is it to have this clicking sound? Is there any damage being done?? I really don't like bringing my car to the dealer...

clicking sound is not bad at all. its hardly noticeable unless windows are down and radio is off. it usually only happens when engaging into first and sometimes 2nd or 3rd. From what i've read there is no damage being caused but its just annoying.

Still waiting for my parts...I have noticed that the clicking does get worse the longer it goes on. As someone else said, supposedly no damage being done, but it does sound really bad as it gets worse.
