First post and where to start?
Hello guys I have owned my Z for 2 years now and its time for some changes. I am pretty much lost when it comes to car talk so some help would be great. I am REALLY thinking of adding a SC but dont want to change the hood and I see some call for that. I would like to keep the car looking like a stock sleeper LOL
So please give me ideas on where to start off. I dont have to start with the SC but just general ideas.
Thanks guys and I must say this site kicks A#$

Spend some time reading about different things around here and educate yourself a little about a car's innerworkings--then start modding. It'll save yourself a lot of headaches if you go with a S/C down the road and you run into something you kinda have to troubleshoot (we all had to start somewhere with this kind of thing, trust me--lol).
But to start off simply, a good true dual exhaust is a good place to start, or suspension.

You only have a few options when it comes to true dual,
Borla, Greddy, Injen, etc... I just bought the new Injen straight tip. It looks awesome and sounds great! good luck with your car! It really comes down to your style and preference. exhausts have different looks and sounds, which you like is up to you. really do some research and get what you like, not what others like, this makes the process more fun and you don't look like everyone else. Also, you'll want t educate yourself on this subject as well, you don't want to sound stupid when you try to talk about your mods and you just really don't know! just a tip..

If you havent modded a car before you want to keep it simple...
Get things that are pre-made, dont mess around with custom jobs and shops that will screw you with over priced cheap un guarranteed and crummy labor... You wont know the difference and they will milk you...
If you just want a large horse power gain and the least amount of headache... dont mod anyhing... just add a supercharger like the HKS set up... Out of the box you will be suprized at the power gain... and it will be the only thing you will need to do...
Let me know if there is anything I can do for you or help you with any questions you may have...

Oooh....That's right. I forgot about the Injen!!!! John has one, it's awesome....This should tide you over for awhile...
Exhaust Battle
This is John and I each doing a series of rev's to 3K, 5K and 6K, then at the end, we both rev to 6K together. I went first, Johns went second with his Injen...Noticeably louder than the Greddy EVO2....Enjoy! (And be patient..It's coming off my broadband connection)
