hahaha I know, cat, I'm just givin you a hard time.

now for SweeTemptAsians, I'll gladly take you on any day... your crotch rocket vs. my grocery rocket. you'd have to meet me in WI tho cuz I don't think my purple power honda will make it to NY.

man I really need a crotch rocket. I have 4 lady friends that have crotch rockets, and you two do too. I'm still a virgin to crotch rockets so I was thinking of just gettin a cbr f3 for a starter bike.... altho I have a connection that can hook me up with an R6 for the same price as an f3 (he runs auctions for repos and stolen things n such). I guess I can ask you two for advice... considering they'd be the same price, should I go for the f3 or the r6 as a starter bike? I'm thinkin either of these two would get me more ladies than my beast Honda. Altho the purple and black combo does attract a lot of attention

Honda's great for first time riders and through experience.. they're extremely reliable compared to almost all the other bike brands out there. In general, you def. gotta stick to a more lightweight, reliable, easy to handle, smooth riding kinda bike. And POWER.. i can't stress on that enough. If you are a first timer with little or no experience on a monster of a bike.. DO NOT EXCEED 600cc. I'd say safe range for newbies would be around 400-600cc. If you're lookin into the F3.. you should def look into the F4 also. Not to say that the F3 is a bad bike.. it's just that the F4 has all that an F3 has but twice as better. The F4 has more power, weighs less, better brakes & suspension, quick steering, wider wheels & provides more feedback. The F4's new four piston brakes are a big improvement over the two piston units of the F3. The transmission is soo smooth and it's ridiculously easy to ride. However.. if you wanna get me started on the R6... that's a whole different dimension. hahaha.. i don't believe there are actual words to describe the oh so beastly & amazing R6. i think you'll def. be ready for the R6 after you full out outride your first baby.

my starter bike was a 93 gixxer. I had it for a few months and then traded it in for a new 03 R6. I will eventually buy one again, after i graduate college though. My coach doesn't like me ridin' it too much and i am not allowed to ride during season which isin th spring and when i want to ride. He is the boss though, he pays for my school. As for which bike to tell you to start on I don't know! I started on a 600 my first time and had no experience before hand...

BTW, thanks for the compliments sweetemptasians. That bike in your sig is clean!! and well, as for pink... I'm not much of a pink girl.....

You are TX girl, take another look at cali. like TX, just because it is in the state doesn't mean it is anywhere close. Vista is 8+ hours from me.
Large is you can pull it off. I can send some money for postage, shirt etc, but it is probably a hassle, so dont worry about. I'll try to find a g spot closer

No matter which bike you get (Nothing over a 600 please a F3 with no mods would be perfect) please, please, please wear your gear. By gear I mean quality jacket, gloves, good boots, jeans at the least if not riding pants ie. leather, cortex or areostitch, and a quailty helmet. I hate seeing people out riding in shorts,T shirts and Nikes. Rember crashing your bike as a child? Now do that on a motorcycle riding 55mph+ in shorts. Also ever tried to wipe your butt with skinned hands? Not easy!! Getting into motorcycling is expensive! Perpare for the ride dress for the crash!

OOHH yea us motorcycle racers makes crack heads look normal.

bikes smaller than 1300cc are for sissies....

J/k.

modern 600s can get you killed easily. They have 105+ HP!
Get an old 600, take the MSF (motorcycle safety foundation) course - helps you ride safer and Better! + gets you your m/c ,license faster.

Wear you GEAR (I've come off my Hayabusa several times - gear saves your ASZ, and head, and arms and legs too)

p.s.

I think that NYC has better sushi than Socal (LA, san diego). However, I havent been up to SF yet. I'll be coming up for the Halloween weekend for some round-the clock partying.

SF is awesome for seafood.....or any other kind of food for that matter.

Buy the very best helmet you can buy and wear it, since 90% of the time if you have an accident, your head will be involved to some degree. Leathers and boots too! no shorts no tennies!

With all this talk of bikes and proper gear. Is ther any other kneedraggers out there? Anyone else do and serious road racing or track days? I think I have been on every southern track. Baber Motorsports being the newest VERY NICE place TOP QUALITY over all but not my favorite. Road Atlanta is always fast, Nashville has major lines to learn to be run fast, VIR rocks, I could go on but damn I just love LITTLE TALLADEGA.

Thanks for the info guys! Sorry Cat, I totally didn't mean to hijack the thread. Anyways, as for wearing gear, nobody has to remind me. I had 3 buddies of mine all drop their bikes, all in a one week period! One dude lost all his skin on his arms, and the other two guys skinned their legs like crazy. They weren't wearing anything but a helmet, so naturally I learned from their mistakes.

lol BHOPPER 5... I don't think I'd ever want to experience wiping my as.s with skinned hands!

Anyways, this one's the leading contender to be my first crotch rocket...

HAHAhahhaa.. i couldn't agree with you more!!

I've decided guys.. it's about that time to purchase my second bike but i won't be expecting it to roll in my garage til around spring 2K5. I grew quite fond of this toy...

'04 Yamaha YZFR1 as my joy ride bike to beat around... or should i hold off & continue investing in my dream bike no. 2.. the Ducati 999? Hrmm.. but i still need a beat around bike cuz the aprilia's just too precious for hardcore track 'n street twisties. Man, all this toy purchasing is becoming an impulse. Cars & bikes are evil...

All I can say is DROOL if you have the Factory Millie R. Man that would be a nice cruise/twisty weekend bike. Nothing like Ohlines all the way around. If I could get a 2nd roadbike (if I ever went back to street riding) my bike/drug of choice would be a Twin either a Rc-51 or Duc. Millie. Even though in the next 6 months to a year a full prepped 04-05 race 600 will be the bike in the stable. A ZX6,R6,GSXR6.
