Yeah, I noticed that in the Sears ad in Sundays paper. If I wasn't pissed at Sears and promised to never buy another thing from them I might have considered getting one.

The best part of that kit is the 4 way lug-wrench. They are the best way to get the lug-nuts off the car without scratching your wheels because of the symmetric torque application.

I got that same kit, too! I only paid 95.99 for it though.

It's a great kit except for one thing... If you try to lift the Z from the front axle area (forget the name of it right now) you can't jack up the jack! There's just no room to move the handel up and down and with that lip you have on your Z, it's only going to be worse. I had to either drive over some 2x8's or just jack the car up on the sides. I would have kept the kit but I left it at my folks home before I moved. Now I wanna find a low profile jack so I don't have to use ramps.

And yes, you gotta release the jack slowly. The smallest turn goes a long way, heh. I learned the hard way.

good deal, even though IMO Sears tools arent too great. but at $150 you cant go wrong with all those tools.

a set like that from snap-on would be like $600. and that probably just for the seat.

 

i need new tools!!

Hrm... I have yet to find a 4 way tire iron that has a 21mm socket that will fit into our wheels. They're simply too big...

Also be careful that you clear the area before letting the car down. Remove the jack stands and other objects far from the car when lowering it. I've seen people lower cars onto other objects (I used to work as a mechanic at pep boys, so I saw alot of stupids - or "installers" - come and go). Be careful, no need in sending your jackstand through your floorboard, right?

drive it up on a couple 2x4s first and then see if the jack will fit

 

or if u want to get hardcore, consider buying a harbofrieght jack. 200-300$. but it will clear. has a clearance of 3" i htink.
