Default Cool

1 bar seems awful high for stock ECU. I want info on what was done for the compression ratio....plus how the stock injectors are flowing. Hopefully Nissan learned the lesson with injectors and gave us something out the box that is worthy. The Supra coming stock with 550CC injectors was one reson why it was such a beast for such little money......that and the over-engineered components.

I like the FMIC too, and the BOV venting to the atmosphere is the icing on the cake.......I like to scare the begeezus out of dog walkers. It's the only thing fun since they outlawed paintball drive-by's. j/k

Very, very true...but I think what excites me the most about this isn't how much boost or power that it has per se, but that someone DID it. And that someone actually crammed everything in there, including an FMIC and did it relatively well for rushing it. As a Z32 owner, you can appreciate how sometimes the simpler things like fitting a damn FMIC behind a bumper or routing some piping can make things a nightmare and hold people back for months or years

And yeah, they did claim that they'd be upgrading other parts as a part of their final kit when released so we'll have to see exactly what they do and how they do it.

P.S. As for 350ZForum.com, we're going through some server changes and we're on backup right now...so bare with the speed.

MMM, turbo, mmm. Sexy. I want to hear that thing run. The 350z exhaust note + BOV venting to the atmosphere = orgasmic. I need numbers too, with 14.22 psi of boost this thing should be a beast. Here's an important thought though. If this thing is running at almost 1 bar wouldn't the engine last like two or three more weeks? There are about three or so possibilities for this question:
1. The engine just hasn't gotten arond to blowing up yet but will in a day or two.
2. The VQ35DE is a really, really strong N/A engine with really high tolerances.
3. The engine internals aren't stock.
I am guessing it is one of those possibilites. Hopefully its #2. This brings up another interesting question. What amount of power can the stock tranny deal with? Will the synchros and cogset fall apart like they have on high powered wrx's?

Note: I hope that the modified towhook can be taken off.

I'm going to see if the stock z32 wheels will fit on the 350Z....I have a set of rear chrome stock z32 wheels with Nitto Drag Radials on them....if they fit i'm gonna run em

gotta go down to Houston on Friday for a wedding, but I'm coming back on Sunday. Any weekend after that I'm good though. Let me know....I'd like to see your times with the drag radials.

been talking to a new girl that is into cars, she mostly likes german cars, but I might be able to get her out there......if her parents will let her go .......... I know....bad Josh! \slapping my own hand\

let me know if you wanna get together, I'm sure Doan and some others would be down aswell.....

All valid points...but as was said earlier this is a prototype and a a first run. If you catch the writing on my forum you'll see that things WILL be changed and more research is going on. I wonder how many more times this will be brought up today

I caught the writing on your form and noticed the change in turbo. Didn't see anything about a change in boost though. It still is kind of interesting that a company would prototype something at such a ridiculous level. "Well um, err, We only have one engine so lets see if ummm, err, it can handle a, um, 600 shot of,, umm, nitrous, umm yeah" I am hoping they know something we don't, otherwise I can't see why they would run a prototype system as such high boost unless they are trying to blow up the engine.
