Default Nissan Leather Option

HAS ANYONE EXPLORED THE OPTION OF ORDERING SAY THE PERFORMENCE MODEL AND ADDING THE NISSAN LEATHER AS AN OPTION....BEEN LOOKING AT THE BLACK BURNT ORANGE COMBO AND REALLY DON'T NEED THE TOURING PACKAGE. SEEMS TO ME THAT YOU CAN SAVE A LOT OF $ BY GOING THIS WAY.

I thought about it. The dealer said it was about $1000 dollars to add the option. I think I saw the price actually about $945.00 for that option when I picked up my car.

IF YOU DO ORDER AFTERMARKET LEATHER FROM NISSAN, IS IT THE SAME AS THE BURNT ORANGE LEATHER THAT YOU WILL CURRENTLY SEE IN THE Z'S ?

I have a performance model w/ factory leather. Two tone to match the interior w/ the Z logo etched on the back. The price for the leather + a layer of protective coating was about 1k. However, by getting the leather, Nissan actually lowered my apr so I got a pretty good deal.

Here is two-toned leather in my Performance Model. It ran me $1000 financed with my car. The same place does it for around $900 if you do it on your own (not through dealer).

Victor,
Do you have any idea who makes those red seats??

Not the color combination I would get but I like the perforated
center section - -

Thanks for any info -

that's dealer leather not factory, special protective coatings = special dealer ripoff.

Those are my seats (Victor helped me with hosting the picture as it was too big to upload). The seats are from Katzkin but they only (theoretically) sell to upholstery shops. I have sat in a Touring model and the "quality" of the leather feels about the same although the Touring had "regular" leather in the middle. You can get different options (ie regular or perforated, different colored stiching, etc.) and either one or two color at no additional charge. The total cost was $825 (I had two other quotes of $1100 and $1150), the installer was a great guy, and the job was "in and out" the same day. The headrest normally comes in "two-tone" also (ie red on the front and black on the sides) but they will do it all in one color (like mine) for an additional amount (thrown in for free by the installer!). I changed this after reading SKiDaZZLe's post on his Blue/Black upgrade.
