Default DVD Navigation regions on disc

I heard recently that all of the United States information is not solely contained on one DVD. is this correct?

I heard there are multiple discs because there is SO much information packed on each disc regarding 3D view info, etc.

Also, if there are more than one disc for the U.S., how many are there?

Thanks, in advance,
Todd

Sorry that I am so thick, but is that one disc included or one disc for the entire U.S.?

I am getting excited!! (I am assuming it is the latter)

Thank you for the info.

I have the Nav system and I just spent the past 3 weeks putting 5800 miles on the car driving across the country. The DVD does cover all the US. However, it doesn't really cover everything. It has all major highways and roads, and details in metropolitan areas. It does not have a lot of information about hotels, gas, and food in other areas. If you think you're going to be in the middle of Kansas and have the McDonalds, Holiday Inn, or Shell station on the Nav system you'll be out of luck. I also drove on a few roads that it didn't even know about. I think you may be able to get more detailed regional discs.

The Navagation system in the Acura is the same. Very detailed information for most of the San Francisco Bay area, but only the main streets for Eugene, OR and almost nothing at all for Montana. There is only one DVD offered. It is updated annually.

Default WOW

Theres a disc in the NAV.. wow.. Oh you mean in the dvd player behind me... ahhhh... never seen it.... love the NAV... Yeah it a Garmin with downloadable sectors.. but it aint a compas and a watch.. and yeah.. its got most of the info.. I need... and its easy to read... Iwish it had a write or memory storage so that you could add roads and area.. I mean more than what it has now.

But.. I would still get it today.. even knowing what I know now...

Cant wait to road trip it..

Cool runnings everyone
