Everything scratches it!

Hell, my dad bottomed out on a speedbump with stock clearance.

Key is to approach inclines and speed bumps at an anlge. I became an expert in how to drive a low car with my previous ride where I had a full body kit with lowering springs.

I've hit my front bumper on the bottom a couple of times on some very steep inclines. No damage thanks to that black plastic strip at the bottom of the stock bumper

I've concluded that it's inevitable that the bottome of your bumper is going to get scratched sooner or later. At first, I wasn't use to the lengh of my Z... I learned quickly.

It happened to me a few times the first week. Hasnt happened since...but it still has some battle markers under there

How bout the guys with the front lip and aftermarket bumpers that make the front lower than stock height? Dont you have to get used to it all over again?

Dont you mean you scratched the bumper on a parking block? I have a nice dip right before the shsort drive going into the carport-followed by an incline! Before I get to the dip I put it in 1st gear - enter on the left side of the drive -letting the car pull itself with just the idle throttle - go in at at angle - ending up parking on the right side of the carport. In leaving I start the car- put it in reverse - as leaving the carport twist the steering so I am going at a good angle when I hit the dip leaving! NO BOTTOMING OUT! - OR SCRAPING ANYTHING. Works like a charm.

Whoops! forgot to mention - when I brought it home the first day - parked in the carport. Decided to take my wife out to dinner - had a hell of a time finding reverse - kept hitting 6th gear - thought I was going to go through the front of the house before I found it! I also - ty to park about 12 to 18 inches away from the curb or parking block (just to be sure! ) - still dont stick out any more than some of those SUV things.

I've bottomed 2 or 3 times in 8K miles, but I do have a pretty aggressive front lip on there too. It sticks out on the sides, so I'm actually not better off goin on too much of an angle.
