Talking YesYesYesYesYes

Finally the wait is over!

Got my Brickyard Touring (6MT, Nav, kickplates, mats) last night from Carmax in Greenville.

Evidently it got into the dealership on Tuesday, but my salesman was in Orlando and I was in Atlanta.

Got in the car yesterday to come back from Atlanta and someone from my office called to tell me that the dealership was trying to get in touch with me. I had a feeling, since one of our Z brothers had emailed me that there was a Brickyard at the dealer. So I call my sales guy, and he tells me that the time has arrived!

Sorry for the interruption.

So I'm dying on the drive home (my boss was driving). We finally get home, I get my car and head down to the dealership.

Took the car for a test drive and loved every minute of it. Had a check from PeopleFirst (4.99%), so everything was very easy to take care of.

Anyway, just wanted to share all of that. Hope to see others soon.

By the way, on the way back from Atlanta, I saw a LeMans sunset heading south on I-85 near the SC border.

Yo, DD... congrats! I just got the word last night that my delivery has been pushed back another week.

My target is now Nov 13th. When was yours supposed to arrive? ie. how early did it come?

If I don't have mine soon, I may have to get you to drive up to Charlotte so I can drool at your car for a while
I'm dying to see the brickyard color in person...

I originally was scheduled for December delivery (per ZISME).

I was hopeful that it would arrive this week, since I expected it to be on the Tricorn. Lucky me.

I can't imagine why yours is running behind, but if it goes too long, let me know. I will make the run to Charlotte (quickly) and let you enjoy mine for a while.

I took delivery in the dark, and the color looked good. It's cloudy today, and everyone loves the color. I can't wait for some bright sunshine.

I had to go visit a client this morning, and he and all his customers had to check out the car. Then I was headed back to the office and everybody was honking their horns, giving me the thumbs up, etc.

I've got to take the car home soon, and move over to my truck. I have to officiate a couple of football games this evening, and there is no way I'm parking my Z at a football stadium where people park helter skelter and anyone can touch my car.

This is too much fun. You are going to love yours!

Where are you in Charlotte? I have had my Chrome Silver Touring//Performance Z for 2 months now. I ordered it from Cleveland, Ohio. I work on exit 25 (off I-77). I haven't seen allot of z's around here. I have only seen a black performance model, a white base, and a burnt orange. We will all have to get together when you get yours.

Later dayzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I'm guessing it is because yours was delivered off the boat to Jacksonville and mine is arriving via Norfolk. That, by itself, is at least 1 week's difference in delivery. Keeping my fingers crossed that it will arrive ahead of stated delivery... unfortunately, I am again having trouble navigating to Nissan's website to do the inventory search...

Man... I was beginning to think no one was driving their Z around here! I have seen several at the dealerships, but have only seen three on the road (2 during a trip to Atlanta and 1 in Greensboro)... none in Charlotte area.

I actually live in Mount Holly off I-85 exit 27... small world. When my Z eventually arrives, I'd love to get everyone together to BS and take some pics. There's another guy, Darrin, who surfs this group and the zcar forum that would probably be up for this, too. Like me, he is still waiting on delivery, tho.

Hey guys! It's good to see some Carolinas representation!

We definitely need to get together when we all have our Z's.

Question for ddtreadway:

You said that ZISME told you December delivery. He just told me the same info. I was hoping my car was on the Tricorn coming through Norfolk. ZISME seemed to indicate this wasn't likely.

What exactly did he tell you? I'm hoping he's mistaken, but I didn't consider that very likely.

I had gotten in touch with him in July or August to find out my order number. He said that I was due for production in September and delivery in December. That was the official word. But he said that deliveries were looking good, and I could probably expect a mid-November delivery.

I waited until the end of September and contacted Nissan and they had my VIN. I made the assumption that I was on the Tricorn and I guess that was right.

I got lucky with this, and I hope that yours arrives soon. Mine just showed up in dealer inventory today on the Nissan site. Pretty funny.

I am currently residing in Charlotte as well - hoping to take delivery of my CS Performance sometime VERY soon, I hope. I haven't been able to find out any info from my car either from NNA or my dealer but I'd love to meet with everyone when it arrives.

Okay... I still cannot get to the Nissan website. I think it may be something to do at the firewall here at work. Would someone be kind enough to do an inventory at Nissan's website and see if a brickyard Z is showing up in inventory for Indepence Nissan in Charlotte, NC? The zip you will need to do the search is 28202.

Much thanks to whomever does this... it's killing me not being able to check each morning...

Hey Andy,

Just checked Independence's inventory and nothing is showing up.

I wish I had gone with Independence. I would have my car by now. It would so be worth the extra $1000 over MSRP.

Seems like we have a number of Charlotte guys on this board. We need to organize a contact list or something.

Take care,
Darrin

WAAAHHHHHHHH!!!! I Want My Z!!!!

DARRIN: Not sure if I was lucky or just timed it good, but I did not get stuck for the $1000 over MSRP at Independence. As for a mailing list, you got my home email already... see if you can get together some others.

Hopefully, by the end of the year, we'll all have our cars. Maybe we can plan a New Year's Day "Shake off the hangover" drive somewhere.

I would love to, but I have some football games to officiate, and then a big Halloween bash to prepare for.

Maybe next one.

WOW, I live off I-85 exit 24. I have 2945 miles on mine, and have had it for 2 months tomorrow. Not too bad - 1500 miles a month. I love driving this thing.

Amazing, silverz... by now, I would have thought I would have seen your car. Did you buy from Gastonia Nissan?

It is weird that you haven't seen me yet. I drive 1-85 north every morning about 7:30am going to work. Actually, I bought mine from Zarzour Nissan in Willoughby Ohio (just outside of Cleveland). I ordered on January 9th and finaly got it on August 27th. I had it flatbedded down as soon as it came in. I used to work at Zarzour Nissan, that's why I got it from there. I went into Gastonia Nissan a couple of times after I got the Z. I ordered a cargo net, turned in my Maxima SE. They didn't get there 1st z (a white enthusiast model) until the 3rd week of September. I called around to all the Charlotte Niisan dealerships right after I got my car and none of them had any in or sold any yet. So, for a few weeks I was the only one in Charlotte driving a Z car, unles someone did like I did and ordered their car from another city/state. I didn't see another one on the road for about 2 months after I got mine though. Pretty cool!!!!!!!!! You won't want to get out of your car once you starrt driving it. It's awesome.
