Question What are Nissan Interest Rates???

Anyone know of how high are the Dealer financing rates on the Z's??? The dealer I went to was saying that there are NO special rates for the Z & I can expect over 7%. Is this correct???

Thanks,

Marcin

My credit is good... a bit over 700 now... but I don't have extensive credit history (under 5 years), so I didn't qualify for Peoplefirst and Eloan's 4.75%...

But Nissan got me 6.25%, and I'm happy with that...

Having no real credit history (I'm 23, first time buyer), I was very happy to receive 8.25% through Nissan's Graduate program. Most online lenders flatly refused to lend to me. I received one offer through lendingtree.com - 17%!!! And that didn't even cover the entire amount I asked for... I'm very thankful for Nissan's program.

I got 5% for 60 months thru Nissan's financing arm. Good credit, little debt helps.

It's possible the dealer is making additonal profit by using his choice for the financing rather than yours. I was pre-approved by NMAC but the dealer finance guy used another company (at a higher rate) anyway. He implied it was my credit, but that was BS. I refi'd it at 5.4%, which was a pain and took a fair amount of time (vehicle inspection, etc.).

I strongly recommend that you get pre-approved by someone other than NMAC as well and be prepared to hand the dealer a check if he won't match the deal you got elsewhere.

Peoplefirst has very good rates, as does E-Loan... If you have a Credit Union you can join, they have great deals as well.

I would venture to say that it depends more upon your individual credit than as to WHO you get the loan from, although that's definitely a factor. I went back to Nissan saying I had 4.88% lined up, and they said they can beat that, so I'm going with my dealer. As long as he beats 4.88%, I'm happy....my credit's pretty good by the way. If your credit ISN'T, do some research online as there are ways to fix it!!
