Default EGT gauge install

Hey I just got my Defi D-Gauge EGT gauge. The shop wants to charge me 400 bucks to install it. I think to myself...CRAZY! they have to take out the exhaust manifold out in order to put the sensor in. Do you guys know if there is a way to install it without taking the manifold out? I need your guys opinions fast cause I need to make up my mind to keep the gauge or return it and get a different and cheaper install gauge.

They can put it in the cat pipe next to the o2. It doesn't have to go in the manilfold. It should just be before the cat. We would charge about $200 tops to install depending on where and how you wnat the guage mounted.

so as long as the sensor gets put in on the exhaust before the cats that will work fine? I am assuming that it shouldnt cost no more than 50-100 bucks to put in then.
