Thanks for all your guys input...I just ordered an 05 tourning Black/Burnt Orange with Navi/Areo/Side Air/Kick/etc for 33K (using the VPP plan)....Dealer said I should get the car by late Dec.

I am really looking forward to having the car! I been waiting since 03 =) ( I hope they fix all the bugs with the feathering issue)

 

This brought a tear to my eyes. I remember when this "brand new style Z" was coming out for 03. Where did the last two years go??????

 

I would have waited until the anniversery 350's come out, or when nissan announced the hp changes.

 

Well I wanted to wait until after graduation from college to get a new car. I didnt want to take the Z there and have someone mess with it ..and parking was a big issue also....and plus I started to read about the feathering issue and the first year production stuff....but then I orded an 04 so i would get it by graduating..but then the dealer kept on pushing the date as to when i would get the car. Felt like i was getting the run around...so i canceld the order and the deposit back!

 

Yeah, that was another reason why i was ok with backin out of the 04..I thought nissan would bump the HP but then they didnt...i was like ****! As for the anniversery thing..I didnt want to pay an extra 10K plus whatever markup...and the dealers were already a pain..most of them didnt want to take VPP on the 05 Z...and I didnt want to pay MSRP for a couple of extra horses

 

Good buy; enjoy the heck out of it when it arrives.

What is the VPP plan again? That's cheap!!!

 

Wow, how can I get a Claim Number for the VPP... do you have a relative that works for Nissan or something (i.e. how did you qualify for the VPP)?

 

I got it through my company....Usually, big companies have programs where you can buy from the automaker at pre-determine prices....I would talk to your HR they should be able to help you....for us it is about 2.87% below invoice (on Nissan) and 1.87% or something on infinity...hope this helps!

 

Guess u didn't see track hp got bumped to 300 hp.

Yep...just bought my '04 Pathy on Nissan's VPP....good deal. No hassle. I'm w/ Hewlett-Packard.

 

Yeah, I heard about the bump in HP...but the track doesn't come with Navi and leather and bose...a few horses here and there didnt make that much of a difference to me...I knwo I could have installed an after market navi, leather, etc etc...i just didnt want to hassel with it.....

 

ohhh my cousin husband is an accounting person for a nissan dealship... and he just gave me the stuff for Anniversity and Track... i have the papers, but my scanner is broken... so i will post up the info tomorrow.
