Does anybody on the forum believe there might be any value in maintaining a page, (on this site) that contains the actual order date and the confirmed delivery date?
This information may be valuable to establish a pattern, i.e average, minimum, maximum, mean delivery date from order date?
Where there's a will there's a way and with the talent hanging out here there is the technical know how for sure.
What are your thoughts?

Seems logical. I can add it to the survey site. Sound good? Might take a week or so before I can find time for it though. The order date is already in the survey for each person (if they entered it).

Sounds good Brackethead. I have participated in your survey on the brackethead.com site. Very informative. I think we still have time on our side. What I don't have is the technical know-how.
Let us know if you pull it off.

I think I can pull it off before dinner! Start the timer....
I realized after my post above that I already ask for both the order date and anticipated delivery date.
Give me 15 minutes...

Tick...Tock...Tick...Tock
Just kidding
Before dinner...hey man go eat. I'm not gonna get in the way of a good meal. Thanks Steve!
By the way 2003Z I think you made the right choice sticking with your original color. I saw the Sunset photographs a while back and I gotta tell you I didn't think I would like it but once I saw the photograph I considered switching myself. Your gonna love it.

OK, got it.

Did I make it in time? This might be too much data. You'll see what I mean. I can do summaries of avg num of days per model or something like that later. Gotta eat now.... I'm starving.

Yeah, what ZGiRL said. ![Smilie](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
So, everyone needs to update their anticipated delivery date if necessary: http://www.brackethead.com/350zsurvey/a/survey.aspx
Avg days by model coming up... No timer this time! Should be fairly easy though.

OK, redid it. See http://www.brackethead.com/350zsurve...t.aspx?show=16
This shows the average number of days between each person's pre-order date and anticipated delivery date for each 350Z model.
This what you were looking for, no_jalopy?

Thanks ZGirl...duh (on me) I forgot we gave the "anticipated" delivery date. (Nice photograph by the way...you're a looker.)
Brackethead
Yes, and here is the important next step to making this good/informative information. Take the "anticipated" data and instead have the "actual" delivery date. Now you have the order date that was provided and the ACTUAL delivery date. This would provide "spread" information. Does this make sense?
I (and other fellow Z pre-order folks) would be very interested in this.
What we would want to nail down is what is meant by ACTUAL delivery date. For example, is ACTUAL the date you receive in writing from NNA or word from the dealer, or when you drive it home? We can work this out.
I realize YOU don't have this information but I believe you would get participation from the folks on this forum and abroad.

no_jalopy, I'm one step ahead of you, bro!
I have a box for ACTUAL delivery date on the survey since day 1. But it's disabled because I knew no one would be driving away in one for several months. The idea was that once we knew delivery was upcoming I would enable you to enter the actual delivery date. So, it shouldn't be a problem technically.
I agree with you, we do need to define "actual" delivery date. My idea is that it represents the day you get the keys and drive it home. I don't know whether anyone will really know the exact date until it show up at the dealer and they call you. At least that's what my dealer told me.
BTW- where's ZGiRL's picture? Are you getting PM's from her? Lucky dog.

Brackethead,
That's my life story...day late and dollar short. Glad you already thought of it I think your probably right regarding actual delivery date. That is the day they drive it home. I would suggest when we start hearing about firm dates...maybe late August that you post a new thread to get participation early. Good job!
Regarding ZGirl...yes as she said...go to member photos.
ZGirl is a looker and yes I'm a lucky dog...I am happily married and probably old enough to be ZGirl's dad.
