So many pipes so little time!
I want to buy new pipes but I don't want it to sound like a, yuk, Honda with a coffee can on the back. I haven't seen or heard any Z's out here with modified pipes.

I think I'll be getting the Borla kit. I found a good price($719.00) at "strictlyz|parts. The price attracted me and of course their rep.
I'd still like to hear them.

The link works, but only one of the sound clips work. Kinda sucks, cause I was curious what the others sounded like.

well, prove improvement first.
so far, it can only be proved that modifying the exhaust generally makes you louder. so... it's a ricer mod.
see, if you do something to sound or look "faster" you are a riceboy. for example, a big wing on a FWD civic. ...there is absolutely no diff from that to modifying the Z exhaust for N/A applications.
as stated, forced induction is a different story.
thank you, drive through.

The Fujitsubo sounds incredible. Too loud for a daily driver for me though. Anyone got a clip of the EVO2? I've heard that it's a great balance of aggression and deepness without destroying the tone of the Z's stock sound. I would like something that is deeper and a BIT louder but not totally obnoxious like some of the others.
Thump! (sound of my forhead hitting my desk)
I joined, I even downloaded an updated version of windows media player.
I still get a "page cannot be found" warning. I'm hooking up with Microsoft for assistance.
Can't tell you how much I appreciate your efforts. Thanks.
I'll post when I'm succesful. Hope the weather doesn't get to bad for you guys in NY.

I have loud pipes on my Harley too. Bubba. And you seem to not know that the wing is for high speed stability. The better the REAR wheels stick...... Nothing to do with FWD.
If it feels good DO IT!!!

first, i think you have to ride a "ricerocket" to be a motorcycle "riceboy" ...but i'm not too current on that. but wasn't it the hell's angles who used the slogan "loud pipes save lives" ...it makes sense.
next: yes... rear wings provide some traction by adding downward force to the rear of the car.
however, more of the real traction is provided by adding downward force to the drive wheels, in a RWD vehicle. in a FWD car... when you accel or engine brake around a corner, a rear wing applies extra force to the rear. (duh) the extra force to the rear takes away from the traction of the drive wheels, which are in the front of the vehicle. sure, possibly more traction, at some speeds. also possibly a dangerous situation when driving "on the edge". ...hit a patch of ice sand or water and find that the front of the car slides off the road quite nicely with that added rear traction. isn't that much better than a powerslide? lol
i'll be here all week to answer any more questions.

Weinie5000: I've been riding for 35 years. I've owned, rode and built more bikes than you ever will. It's my hobbie. Harleys ARE motorcycles everything else are bikes,"weinie boy". So there.
End of subject. Get a life.
