Thumbs down Nissan service is real crap

Hi,

My title said everything. I got the feathering problem on my ZR 2004 and nissan won't warranty it so they told me it's 600$ can each tire. Ok, I can find less in a tire store, but it's still around 1000$ can for both tire.

Also, they can't warrant it to me that the problem won't appear again, so I'm **** top with that.

On my hood, I lost clear around the middle and the car have only 13 months, so I expect to be warranty. It's not a scratch or something like that...it's the clear comes off. The answer from nissan? NO WARRANTY sir, you have to pay 400$ can to repaint all your hood.

So globally, nothing on the car is warranty by nissan and the car is mostly brand new. Well I'm really considering to sold my ZR to get a G35 or other brand because nissan canada take you for dummy *** hole.

What I expect more from nissan is when you buy the top quality car, you hope to get service and what you have in return? A damm big bill for stuff who's suppose to be warranty.

Sorry for my enlgish, I speak french.

For sure I will do that...but my dealer already talk to nissan canada and both don't want to warranty nothing, so writing a letter will so mostly nothing.

I have the same prob. I plan on gettin different tires cuz i don't wanna pay for OEM. I'm also gonna make them sign a contract that states that the feathering will not happen again.

How come they won't warranty the tires? I thought they extended it to like 2 years/20,000 miles.

Because they said it's a 2003 problem, not on 2004. But the problem is, I get my ZR in august 2003 and the TSB went out the april 12 2004, 7 ****end months after I got my car. How they can fix the problem on my 2004 when the tsb was out 7 months after. But that, nissan don't care.

For the tire, If I don't get the same, I have to change to 4, so more expensive.

Honnestly, my wife have better service with is dodge and my friend have better service with is honda. What's the deal? you pay 20 000$ for a car and you have better service then a 50 000$ car.

Go to hell nissan.... I'm really, but REALLY **** off.

Also, they don't want to sign a paper for the feathering problem, so I don't want to pay 1000$ each year for new tire.

Not to be argumentative, but you stand a better chance of seeing Buddha in a too-too than you do of getting a dealership to sign a "contract" stating that a problem will not re-occur. Put yourself in their shoes and tell me you'd do it.

The warranty extension for the front tires applies only to MY 2003 cars. As it stands right now, those of us with 2004s that develop feathering are S.O.L.

Thats not 100% true. I have a customer with an 04 Roadster that is getting new front tires under warranty. The service department just has to know what to do.

And the finance manager wondered why I laughed at his extended warranty...

IF Dealer service wasnt GOD AWFUL, I would get it. But I have been burned too many times to even contemplate extending my service through them...

If my car wasn't wearing Eibach springs, I'd ask for details, but I've made my bed, now it's time to sleep in it. Anyway, with only 3600 miles logged in the 8 months I've had my car, it's probably still too early to tell if I will have issues.

If you had the feathering problem (without the springs) you most likely would be able to get new tires. Finding a service department that will help you out is a different story. I think the problem is that you have service advisors that think "If its not an 03 its not covered" when it is possible to get it covered on an 04. The only difference is that the 03s have the alignment/tire warranty extended to 24mo/24,000mi.

Bluezee: Do you have a proof that you can send it to me to show to nissan canada? Because If they warranty it in usa, they have to do it in canada.

thanks
