Default Change base head unit for Bose head unit?

I would like to change the base head unit for the Bose head unit in my Z. I like the in dash 6 cd changer and the stock look. Does anyone think or know if this can be done??

Thanks

dont do it. i dont think i've ever heard anything good about the bose head unit on the Z. if you want the changer there are other options but I highly reccomend against swapping for the bose.
but as for your question, im sure it can be done with the correct wiring harneses etc, but is much more trouble than its worth

The Bose has amps outside the headunit. You can't take the Bose headunit and stick it in place of the non-bose system - no power to the speakers. You can get a 6-CD add-on to the non-Bose HU. I belive Courtesy Nissan Parts used to see the changer for about $600 but I don't see it on their site anymore.

I've got the BOSE HU in my non BOSE car. It's ok. Do it only if you are motivated by convenience. Do not expect any sound quality improvement. You will need a line out converter and an amplifier. I posted my experience over at 350zmotoring.com. You'll have to search there for info.

Save your money! I know you want to retain the stock appearance but honestly your money will be better spent on a good aftermarket headunit.
