I think what you are asking can be distilled into a couple of numbers. From those you can use any number of online calculators to find out what YOU would pay. For each individual monthly payment there are too many factors to be able to relate to what you would pay. Down payment, cost over MSRP, etc changes amount to net capital cost.
I have been quoted both methods of payment.
For the lease I was quoted by NNA the money factor was .0034. This equates to an interest rate of 8.16%, very poor in this economy. The residual was:
55% for 36 mo
47% for 48 mo
42% for 60 mo
for 12,000 miles per year.
Plug the cost of the car with no taxes added into the calculator. Local sales tax is usually added to the payment (amount tax is based on cost at purchase less residual) - paid monthly with the payment.
For the purchase, the loan interest rate I have is 4.74% for 48 or 60 months. Add the sales tax to the cost of the car and you can figure the monthly payment. Even with added tax benefits (I own a business) the purchase will be much better in the long run as the lease money rate is excessive.
