Preach it, brother!

I don't like to see a car all riced up with a bunch of plastic stick-ons. It would be different if the car actually needed a wing for stability, or if it actually needed street dragging plastic skirts, but it doesn't, and esthetically they don't add to the appearance of the car.

That doesn't mean I'm against all body mods. The car really needs a more aerodynamic nose, with functional brake cooling ducts. A less fat looking rear fascia wouldn't hurt esthetically, either. Some subtle graphics along the sides to bring out the body lines would be nice too.

The spoiler in question (lip spoiler I'm assuming) does help airflow - though not much. The Aero package reduces the CD from .29 to .28. So yeah, you wont feel it, but it has it's purpose.

Secondly, if you think Nissan is bad for their so called gimmics, enter a little company called PORSCHE.

Their nifty little spoilers EXTEND and RETRACT. Cheap to replace? You gotta be kidding. Necessary? Probably. But then again, the lines on the Z and the lines on the Carrera are pretty similar from an aerodynamics standpoint.

Apparently you DO see that crap on Porsches. And as far as asthetics go, I'm pretty sure that 11/10 people like the aero kit on the Z...
Yes, and wasn't the porsche the first with the"whale tail"?
I like my factory spoiler, but then I like racy looking cars. I think I'm going with the Stillen small spoiler now though

From what i have been told, there is nothing that is mainly street driveable that NEEDS a spoiler. Be it our cars, a Porsche, or Lambo.

Unless you are dragging or tracking the car there is no use for the spoiler and if you are doing these things, then 90% of stock spoilers are crap for this anyway. Bottom line is its all for looks, supposedly.

Thats why i love to see those 4-bangers driving around with table tops fastentened to the trunk. You know what i mean those Cavaleirs (sp?), Tercels, Grand Am's, Civics, etc.. Good Stuff. And when they have the mo-ped exhaust,,,,,,sends chills up my spine, LOVE IT!!!!

There's really no need to troll and flame those who have spoilers. Yours looks better in your eyes, theirs looks better in their eyes, and unless you (or anyone else) is the official "what looks better" authority, it just a matter of personal preference. Don't worry about others "ruining the clean, suburb lines" so much.

And how about the so-called "Cheapo ornaments" he speaks of - that he is too cheap himself to purchase! lmao

ZZ:

Don't playa hate, man. Spoilers do add a nice visual touch to the Z. Its cool that you think it looks good without it, but dont tell others on this board that theirs looks bad with it. Thats just in poor taste..

Our Z's don't need fancy wheels either, but who wants ugly wheels.
btw: I do track and drag my car, so I guess I'm safe from the spoiler police.

I love your Body kit man. You wouldn't mind if I copy your set up, right? After all, mine is a Silverstone :-)

Telling me I'm "too cheap" to buy that crap is in "poor taste" Einstein.......practice what you preach, brutha. By the way, in case you didn't know, the track model comes with the spoiler...and mine had the mudguards as well. I had them all removed immediately.

I never said anything was more than just my opinion...but I can't help it if I'm right.

I'm not worried about anything......just making an observation.

I think the car looks much better without the add-ons......period. I'm not trolling or flaming anyone. Get over it.

Agreed. I really like the Stillen Series 2 fascia. I was going to install it on mine, but since I'll be selling the car in about a year, I decided it would be easier to sell without the mod. Great looking nose, though.

I'm over it, and I doubt anyone cares what your observations or opinions are.

Not trolling:
I personally like how the Z looks without spoilers and wings and mudguards and removed them from my car.

Trolling:
I hate to see the clean, superb lines ruined...... but then again, I love seeing how much better mine looks than those with the cheapo ornaments.

State an opinion without putting others down.

I'm not sure how I'll sleep tonight. Don't mistake "caring" for "calling out the board trolls." You can think your car looks better, even if it doesn't, no one else thinks so, and you're the only one who feels that way. No one really cares, certainly not me.

By the way, a wise person once told me that "LMAO" is A0|_13375p3@k for "I'm an idiot." Just passing on the info, you might think it's a really cool thing and want to keep using it.

Troll troll troll your boat...

Hey, Hitler.......there's no German beer here......take your Gestapo act somewhere else. Unclench your butt cheeks and lighten up.......you might live longer.

Try some humor:

"My mother refused to breast feed me...she said she only liked me as friend."

"I went an to an AA meeting...they said there was a two drink minimum!"

"My Dad hated me......he carried around a picture of a kid that came with the wallet!"

Don't you feel better now, ********?? I'll be here all week.....tip your waitress and try the veal.

Oh......and get rid of that ugly spoiler.

jesus can you guys have a thread without fighting like women on their period?

Z31s and up need spoilers to look good. And yes, they do help a little with aerodynamics as jetpilot has stated. My next door neighbor (who is now deceased) used to race cars for a living. As well as several other friends I have who Autox, road race etc.

Some of you are so rice-o-phobic that its funny. The Z community was doing wings, body kits etc long before kids starting modifying their parents Accord. Stop being so self-conscious.
