1. You mentioned "front coil overs". So it's only in the front?? What about the rear?? If the rear is not lowered, does the car not rake forward a lot??
2. What brand coil overs did you get?
3. Can you post more pix of the car from the side?

Thanks.

just go faster
j/k,, no all you gotta do is go around it. or (this might be a difficult concept for you running shifter carts and all) approach it at an angle maybe?

just messin w/ you man.. but i swear you seem to knock everything unless you have some sort of "proffessional hobby type" knowledge on the subject..

a wing omg. not a body kit.. that looks horrible... your stupid you shouldnt do such things.... keep it on the track not the road ... GROW UP..
maybe you should just make it your signature that way you dont have to type messages anymore?

c'mon lets be more supportive and get information on stuff.. if its coilover setup, that means its easily adjustable. so he dropped it 3" for the show big deal

later

Dude, the guy is obviously a dealer trying to sell the things. He states he dropped the car 3" and the ride is still great??? Why don't you buy some and give me a full report if you believe that one.

I was told the clearance is only like 4.5 inches. and during the test drive he took me over 2 speed bumps, which I approached one at like 5 mph and he said, SLOWER.

now drop that 3 inches, not possible to drive, youd have 1.5 inches, I think nascar has more clearance than that.

but I agree, its adjustable, so you wouldnt ride at that hight. however when you are at 3" for appearance or whatever, is camber not a problem?

The clearance from ground to car is 4.7"s. You are right, not possible to drive. Adjustments are usually necessary on suspension changes.

yes, most graphics of that size are vinyl, regaurdless they are a bit large, and detract from the lines of the car. I dont like them at all.

with that said, that car is not mine, I do not drive it everyday, and so long as he who turns the ignition enjoys his own cars appearance, more power to him, dont ask for my approval. but then again, I dont think he asked for anyones approval.

dont suppose you have a Gtech that could possibly measure Gs before and after the install. that would be awesome information(specially since that was the intent of this thread)

ya but i always see people rolling aroudn w/ 2" of gc but of course i live in indiana and things are relativly flat here (perfectly?)

usualy the bigger problem with drops like that is being able to turn the wheel more than 1/2 the way around before your rim and tire get stuck on the inside of your fender

Default road kill clearance?

Anyone know the general height needed to clear dead possums, skunks, and groundhogs? (Rhetorical) One guy already drug a garbage bag full of garbage and melted it under his Z. I'd hate to do that to a skunk here in Tennessee - you'd probably smell it all the way to LA (that's "lower Alabama" to us east of the big river).

if your worried bout clearing roadkill get a truck :P
i've decapatated chipmunks and such, and eaten a few birds with my radiator opening in my celica (yes its lowered) (no its not rice)

and ya camber will really mess you up w/ drops like that, but you'd be suprised at the number of people who still roll it anyways.

i've seen people come back to tirebarn and discout tire and such after as little as 1800 miles on thier tires.. with 5 degree camber and more! those tires have no chance, they have pricklies on outside of tire, and worn through to the belts on the inner

i did a 2.5 inch drop on my celica which @ stock height could be rallied.. it wasnt bad i still have about 3.75-4 inch of ground clearance and i have no problem with speedbumps, or curbs,, however extremly drastic changes in angles on pavement like drivesways can make me rub a bit of my front bumper on the ground (again not major but enuf for paint removal)

guess this is why one of my bestfriends is head painter at a big chevy dealership

coilovers shouldn't produce any camber changes. i'd be more concerned with the driving dynamics having only the front end dumped

Default I said "rhetorical"

I wrote earlier

^Tyr pondered and wrote, in part
if your worried bout clearing roadkill get a truck
rhetorical question n (1843) : a question asked merely for effect with no answer expected
