Default 350z or G35?

Not driven one of those, but planning of getting one, slightly used next month...I'm also getting FX35, so it gets down to g35 or 350z i'm planning on twin turboring it... My question is what car should perform better and be a better fun factor? What I wanna get from the car is Pure performance and alot of fun....I like 350z more and probably gonna go with it....

Have another few questions.

are 2003 350z trouble free?

What internal mods suggested for FI? Pistons Connecting rods?

thats about it for now...

No, it's not. It can be fixed.
I think you've answered your own question. You want performance - the G35 doesn't deliver performance the way the 350Z does.
Test drive both, you'll see.

If your looking for the performance, go with the Z. But if you like the creature comforts, the G has the edge.

People blow the whole 2003 thing out of proportion. The 03s have basically the same problems as the 04s - tranny, etc. There were some very minor problems (fuel lid fitment, window streaks), etc that are easily fixed by the dealer. It's not like the 04s are feathering free.

As for G vs Z, you have to drive them and see what you want. Although they share many parts, the net result is very different. Z seems to be much faster on its feet w/less body roll...at the cost of ride quality. In terms of creature comforts, there are a few small things the touring Z gives up to the G...sunroof, steering audio controls...stuff like that.

I agree. The '03s and '04s have the same problems (tranny, fethering...ect) Im willing to bet the '05s do too, but there arent enough miles on em yet to tell.

350Z sounds like what you want.

As far as what to do to the engine, check out the Forced Induction section and make a post with what your goals and plans are, we can help you over there .

You answered your own question since you said you want more performance. Go with the Z! And people really do blow 2003's problems out of proportion, some people act like they don't run or somethin. Yes, mine did have loads of problems, but Nissan will fix them all under warranty, and I'm willing to bet that many 2004s have the same problems. Anyway, go do a search to get more opinions, there are LOADS of threads on this topic.
