I think it's the generic "number/letter" name. The clueless need a memorable name to help them remember it. If it was called the "Avalon" or the "Integra" they would remember it. Too bad the originator of the Z chose a name that has negative sexual-identity connotations in America (Fairlady).

I did a photo shoot with two chicks and they thought the Z was a porche....I didn't say anything.

Yeah. Ive gotten more compliments with this car than any other and like the post above some have come from girls working at drive throughs. At this point more girls than guys have noticed. I think that will change as more of them are on the street and they become more commonplace.

 

I've met more girls in my Z than I ever met in my 86' VW Jetta.
But then again I was 16.

I do get compliments all the time. It's awesome. Especially in the drive through. I love to see girls turn their head on the expressway too.

I'm so happy I bought the car.

 

Ok I am a girl and well at least you dont feel pressured to say you drive something else sometimes..When GUYS ask
"oh what do you drive" and when I respond "350Z"
they automatically assume " oooh but those are such a waste in automatic" ...like hello I drive a 6 speed !!!! OR the best one " it's your boyfriend's car uh ?" Golly gee ya think lil ole me got this by myself

Mostly I do get compliments though so I shouldnt complain ...at traffic lights, parking lots, gas stations and even the crazy dudes on the highway (en route) who will circle then shout "sweet or nice car" or give me the thumbs up.

As for other girls in Z's pleaaaase ... no eye contact what so ever LOL like maybe pretend like I dont see her kinda looks hehehehe, kinda amusing really ...LOL

That pretty much sums up my situation. I get a LOT of complements when I stop to get gas, drive thru lanes, and parking lots. I however dont really see it working as a "chick magnet." When I leave a bar/club, if I already havent worked on getting the girl in the car, what are the chances that she is going to be parked enuf to see the car. Besides, if she saw it and instantly wanted to talk to me, wouldnt that show me just how shallow of a golddigger she really is???

 

I hate gold diggers. In Miami, The girls ask you three questions, your name, your salary and your car. If they're intrested then they'll talk to you. I'm not saying all the girls are like that but quite a few are.

Golddiggers are only good for one thing. Sometimes they're not even good at that one thing.

 

Nothing sexier than a hot woman driving a Z .

 

Except maybe a **** star driving a Ferrari.

 

my ex g/f started talking to me more once i bought my Z. other girls i know that i knew kind of liked me before when i only had the Camry, now are ALL OVER my nuts after i got my car.

there was also this chick at a party that saw me pull up in my car. she went to my buddy and said "i didnt know Dirty(my nickname) had a 350Z". my boy was like "yep" she said "i want to drive it" he told her "you might have to do something for him for that"...she replied with "well it might be worth it"

later that nite she started talkin to me about my car and said she wanted to drive it. i told her "i dont know, i havent let any girls drive it yet" she said "i might be able to persuade you to let me" i said "yea, maybe"..................................................... but, i havent seen her again since that nite

but i do get a lot more guys talk to me and ask me about my Z, but i also get a lot of looks from girls...i think they are just too shy to talk to me about it.

 

I put my car into a show a couple of months after I had gotten it, just a few cheap mods really but there were 2 chicks staring at the engine when I started walking toward it to go home. They left when I got there. So yes the car attracts chicks, you just have to be above ugly looking to close the deal .

Yup more dudes ask me about my car.

Not sure if I got more comments about my 01 Camaro SS (SLP upgrades), 03 BMW 530i (almost every option and 35 tint), 04 Spec V (lots of mods - even old people like the car and a lot of people refer to it as a race car ???) or the 350Z. I like the Z but when the new Z06 comes out, I think it's time to move on unless I get a big raise next year .

 

oh yea, funny story while i was a at a gas station one nite. i stoped by to get some beer, and as i was walkin out, this girl that was parked next to me was walking in(she was fat and ugly btw). but she said "thats a really nice car" of course i said "thank you" mean while i notice this car pulling up in my periphial vision and a guy stepping getting out of it. as he was walking by she asked "what is it...a Honda" i said "HELL NO...its a Nissan 350Z" she said "oh ok, well its nice" well as i turn around, i see that the car that the guy got out of was a S2000. he was definately walking by during the "hell no not a Honda" part of the conversation.
