Default Anyone yet try touch up paint?

I just noticed a small chip in my front bumper and was wondering if anyone has tried touch up paint and, if so, how did it come out?

My car color is chrome silver and it is hard to see the chip unless you're up close but, of course, since I know it's there I could see it a mile away. Any advice?

Thanks.

Default Did it on Saturday

PPW - Same thing, chip about 1/8"X1/8"x1/32" or roughly 1mm X .5mm X .25mm (TOTAL GUESS ON DIMENSIONS)

Picked up the touch-up paint pen (Paint/Clear Coat combo) from courtessyparts.com

Read the thread on carcareonline.com about chip repair - TOO invloved for the size of this chip.

I built-up the chip "hole" with coats - about 5, used a hair-dryer to help speed up the drying process, then used the clear-coat.

absolutely, positively cannot see the chip..only way is to get down even with the hood and scan back and forth until you see the uneveness(sp?)

It worked better than I expected!

Thanks for the advice. The chip that I have sounds similar to what you had. I just ordered the touch up paint pen from Courtesy Parts and will use it like you did.
