Angry Stupid broken Z

My car died on me. Turning a corner i thought I stalled it, then the thing would not start back up. I had it towed to the nearest dealership, they had the car for about three weeks but could never figure out the problem.
On my way home from the dealership it died again, so I had it towed to another dealership. They said there was a short in the computer, and the connections to the computer were messed as well. I didnt get to drive my car for over a month. All was under warranty so it didnt cost me anything but a bunch of frustration and time, (waiting for the slow tow truck).

Has anyone had this happen to them before? I was really dissapointed in the dealerships service.

Dissapointment with the competency of dealership service departments is a common thread, so nothing new there. I've never read of anyone having this problem before. Has your ECU/Harness ever been tampered with? Previous owner maybe?

It was a much older guy who had the car before me so I dont think there was any tampering done with the harness.

werd, i traveled over a 1/2 hour to have my tranny replaced... the place was great, the guy let me hang around in the shop with him throughout the whole tranny replacement, explained how everything worked and went together... he even put every nut back into same exact spot he removed it from explaining how it's important factor many people overlook because the tranny has to maintain the "balance" it's used to... my dealer (where i bought my car from) is horrible i would never get warranty work done there.

I thought there's a recall that deals with this problem. I think it effects a bunch of other Nissan models as well. You might want to check out other dealers, or look up recall notices from Nissan:

Good luck.

Thanks. Does lemon-law still count if you buy the car used? Or if its under factory warranty can you still lemon-law the thing.?
