Thumbs up Nissan 350Z Pictures

A few months ago i had the chance to wash a 350z and clean the interior, i like cleaning sportscars. Did a M3 and a 911 prior to this one, and still cleaning them once a while. Anyway, i also like photography and that makes the two match together.

See the gallery, which i've made of the Nissan 350z. Any wallpaper-requests will be honored, so feel free to browse around.

They where taken with a Canon 10D SLR, so the originals are 6 M.P.

Hmm....something is a bit off in both of these shots...

Nice pictures, though.

The first picture conveys motion but, as the speedometer indicates, the car is at a stop.

The red blur in the second shot makes it seem he did a 0-190kmph run. I think it is a fake, however. He forgot to blur the gray piece that sticks out opposite the red needle. Managing the shutter speed and zoom for that shot would be nearly impossible.

Since we are nit picking he also didnt change the mileage of the car. If its is in motion as you say then the two pics cant read the same mileage either.

most of the photos are retouched by PS like the spanning shot, that's why they look kind've off.

agree with shivak...

the first picture might be more of tunnel vision...
(i'm thinking Nos!!!!! 2F2F anyone?!)

the second is a fake. look around the needle, both of them. there is pixelation and imperfections in the color variance. yes, i notice these things only b/c i am a computer nerd and have been working in PS for the past 3 years.

I'm guessing he took the picture when he first started the car, as the needles tend to jump.

BTW nice pictures!

I have edited some pictures, and these 'speedometer' shots are far from perfect. Yes you paid good attention shivak, the opposite red-needle should be 'wiped' also. But this only took quite some time tingeling with the effects to make it look natural.

The 'flatness' of colors is due the monitorsettings, these JPG's are in Adobe RGB /SRGB and if your monitor is set like 'deep blue' cast, these shots can look terrible

Headlight sprayers are standard in Europe (The Netherlands) for some reason. I really don't see this as a major downside. But i guess its such as strange as a foglight on import usa cars over here. A stupid redlight is mounted on a bracket on the rear bumper. Question for you usa ppl; foglight (less vision for 50meters) is it required to carry those lights in usa?

I am very happy you like the shots El Zzeta, but i can assure you... everyone can take these shots. My suggestion to you is; play with angles. Not always take shots from your head-height. But lay on the street, and shoot from downside of the car. Creates a nice effect, make the car look bigger/diffrent.

nice shots.
ISO deals with how receptive the film (or in this case, the CMOS sensor) is to light. A higher ISO allows the use of faster shutter speeds (more sensitive to light) but less color quality. Lower ISO gives truer color but it takes more light for a correct exposure. I think what you mean is a smaller Fstop. Using a lower Fstop will yield less depth of field, and therefore it will create more background blur (resulting in a less busy background). Is this what you meant? Be careful not to use an Fstop that will yield too narrow a depth of field when photographing cars. This will produce shots that are in focus on certain areas of the car, while out of focus on other areas, which usually leads to bad car pictures.

great pics!!! i am really trying to get into photography myself. i bought myself a fujifilm 6.3mp/6 x optical camera with a tri pod. i also bought a book on photoshop 7 and a book on digital photography. my favorite pic so far is the black and white one. it was taken at 12Mn. it is an option my camera has. not sure how i get 12mp but the detail is pretty awesome! here is some of my work with my new camera.
