Unhappy I miss my z.

I sold my z because I needed something more practical so I bought a new 4-runner. I love the truck (it is what it is) but the Z was so much fun. Someone basically stole it from me for 26,700$. It was a loaded touring z with nav, only 6k miles, and 5k$ in mods. Ugh.

Just venting. That is all.

I can relate. I almost sold my Z, cuz I needed a truck. I was looking at the Titan. Couldn't afford both, so the Z had to go. But I felt funny (in a bad way) and depressed while she was on the market. I finally came to my senses (while taking her for a drive and listening to Abba) and realized what a huge mistake I'm making, and took her off the market. I felt this huge weight off of my shoulder, and was thoroughly content.

I decided that I didn't need a gas guzzlin V8 truck for my needs, therefore I bought a little Frontier. She was cheap and does the job I require of her just fine. And since she was cheap, I'm able to have both. I'm so glad I kept my Z, but I can relate to your pain.

By the way, I just checked the pics and that was a pretty sick Z. Sorry to see it gone but I'm sure you made one new happy owner out of your car.

Was it a 03 or an 04?
Either way, 6k miles, just broken in.

Nothing like a little "Dancing Queen" to settle the nerves. I heard you're supposed to play Abba to babies in the womb. My mom did, and I get a lots more smarterer.

I was in the same boat as you; however, I bought a used toyota tacoma pickup for a beater. I love both but the Z I had to keep for play.

It was a 2003 model. I had the car posted here for 28k and in the auto trader for 28.5 and I barely got any bites. I think it's just a really bad time of year to sell a RWD sports car. Dealer trade in would have been 24-25k so I did make out a little better by selling privately but not much. I was a little dissapointed at the resale of the touring model. It seems that the base model and enthusiast editions keep their value much better. I paid 37k for my Z new and bascially lost over 10k in depreciation plus 5k for the mods by selling it a year later.

bummer.

I feel it man. I'm about to vote on a contract that will cut my pay by 32.5%, and my Z may need to go to. hope I can work it out.

Default I feel your pain

I miss my Z too. It was a Brickyard Performance. Loved everything about it, especially the color. Found out they stopped making that color too. I was one of the first few hundred to own one, the VIN was #284! I miss those times when the Z was so new, you got attention everywhere you went.

The M3 was fun too, just sold it last week.

I bought my 04.5 ZR with 800 miles from a guy that decided he wanted a 4-runner. 7000 miles later, at least 4K richer and still smiling. Changing your mind ain't cheap.

I'm pretty sure u can get over $30K pretty easily by selling your car and your mods seperately. Even your car stock can sell more than $27.5K cuz of the low milage and all those options.
