Default hockey equipment in the Z? hockey players chime in.

I sat in on an exhaust install on a daytona blue Z awhile back and looked at the interior.... Looks a bit small to fit a player's bag and sticks...If anyone plays, please let me know how you do it. I'm getting ready to do my test drives and don't want to lug around my bag to the dealer to try to squeeze in my stuff just to find out it might or might not fit. Any help is appreciated.

I have to stick my hockey bag in the passenger side. The stick will go through the hatch down to the passenger leg well. You can stick the hockey bag in the trunk, but you'll have to take out some stuff out of your bag, which is a bit of a hassle. But that's something I'll have to do if I have a passenger.

Thanks goodness I play right wing and not goalie. If I pack my back good enough, I have plenty of room in my v6 accord. It's been 5 years since I've had the chance to enjoy a nice ride...so I'm done with this project and shopping for my next one. I usually have my Easton bag along with an Easton Stealth and a Synergy that I use for a backup...maybe I do need to make it to the nissan dealer with my hockey equipment.

yeh..you can fit it..this was a big deal for me also

you can either slide the stick through the hatch or just into the passenger door

i leave the blade where the passengers feet would be and then i tuck the shaft under the headreast so it doesnt move around or hit me while driving...the hatch is bigger than i though..i fit a lot of **** back there

same here. I lie a cover over the passenger seat the bag sits on the seat and sticks beside along the seat. Definately won't fit in the hatch unless you unpack some of your smelly equipment - not recommend unless you want you car to smell like your equipment!!!

I do the same as JKM. Small sacrifice though...I get to drive my Z to the rink which beats driving anything else.

My equipment fits just fine, although a tight fit. I put the bag in the hatch, and the sticks go butt-end first under the bar, angled so that they stick up over the right-passenger shoulder. The blades go underneath the left side of the strut, standing up right against it. Sometimes, depending on how I pack my bag, I have to smush it down alot before the wiper motor fits. I mean, that equipment takes slapshots, why can't it handle a hatch being slammed on it?

Well having the roadster it is impossible to fit anything other than a golf bag in my trunk. So I take my company car to the rink while my ZR sleeps for three months straight.

I was real pissed when I was looking at the blade of my Easton Synergy stick and noticed a crack in the heal of the blade. Must be my massive slap shots...then again maybe not.

Anyone get their call from the NHL to play next year? I hear they are thinking of starting a grass-roots beer league for next year's NHL season. j/k

Replacement players if the NHL and the Player's Association reaches a legal impass in the fall. Keep your fingers crossed.
