I wanted to get a bra but decided to pass due to my prior experiences ....

The only time you can drive safely is at 6:00am, but anyways do a search here on "clear bra" or check the the 3M site for a local dealer ( or call them).

Is this stuff really that good? I love to wax my car and get this mirror like shine but I don't see how that would be possible with a piece of plastic in between the wax and paint. I am afraid to get this stuff because I don't want it noticeable. I have also heard that it'll start to discolor and cloud up around the edges and corners. Any truth to this?

There is already a piece of paint protection film just ahead of your rear wheels. If you are wanting a mirror like reflection, its still there but it would be more like comparing normal TV to hi-def.
As far as discoloration, the sun will fade everything eventually. I have seen almost 5 years on the 3M film personally and it still looks fine, but the weather stripping around my windows has turned gray. Dirt around the edges is easy to clean, peeling due to a bad install or bad film.

A picture is tough, look at my signature, you can't see it.
Pictures just don't pick it up. In person, if done by someone that knows how to do it, you cannot tell from a few feet away, but it is not invisible.
Also, the color of the car makes a difference, black being the worst. And the install does as well, Pepi installs the hood piece with the edges wraped around so you only see the back line going across the middle of the hood.
With mine most people didn't see the clear bra until they got close enough to see the back line of the hood piece.
All this being said, it is not invisible and if you are a perfectionist don't get it, because it is not like laying down a coat of paint you might see some imperfections, but it beats having the bumper and hood full of nicks which are more visible than the bra. Trust me I had it for two years and no nicks then I had the hood repainted due to an accident and they recommend not to install the bra for a couple of months and guess what in 2-3 months I have more nicks than ever.

On that review I am not going to get it lol. I am an perfectionist. I get my front ends painted every spring to keep up on the chips. I live in a place where I drive that it really isn't that bad. I can usually count how many I have on my hands by the time I get it repainted. I tend to detail my cars daily and to be able to notice it wouldn't go over with me. I am sure it works great and I LOVE The way your car looks in the sig. absolutely beautiful. Can't wait to get my DB.

Consider Llumar film as an option to 3M. I just had a Llumar urethane 'clear bra' installed. I couldn't be happier with the workmanship and looks. Plus Llumar has a nationwide life-time guarantee. It is generally considered better than 3M. -- Jim

Llumar came out with their film almost exactly one year ago at the SEMA show. I started using it in January in addition to the 3M just for black cars since it looked a bit better on that color. Back in August I got this email from a customer:
"Good morning David,
I have had a large bird dropping on the front side of the bumper on my
Lexus RX330 SpeedFilm (Llumar) that dripped downward on the film. After
cleaning the droppings off with a wet paper towel I noted that the film
was damaged. Apparently the acid in the bird dropping appears to have
"melted" and "bubbled" the film!!!! It looks terrible!!!!......"
I have never seen this happen with 3M film and stopped offering the Llumar immediately after I saw what happened to their film.
