That is way nice. I'd consider that over a Z if they had those here.

With the 350Z, you do get alot for your money. The main cost of this car is the Lotus chassis. A fair bit of the car was designed by lotus, and they are built in the Lotus factory. They are more reliable than a lotus though. Handling is superb.

Is it my imagination or does the VX220 actually look bigger than the 350Z?
The Elise is finally coming to the U.S.. I was thinking about getting one, but I had to get a car five months ago and got the 350Z.
Is the VX220 bigger than an Elise? I would have thought the Elise would look 3/4 the size of a Z.
Let's see, 1kg=2.2 pounds, right? 930kg then equals 2046 pounds. Which begs the question, why does the Z weigh 3200 pounds?
I think the Elise sells for about $42,000 in the States versus about $35,000 for a well equipped Z.

The VX220 is small. It is only 111cm high. The reason it looks big in the first photo is because it is nearer the camera. Side by side, the VX is quite a bit smaller than the 350Z. It is fairly torqy though. Some one I know who has upgraded his to a stage 5, which he has helped develop. It's kicking out 330bhp, and about the same in torque. He was leaving tyre stripes down the motorway, where he was spinning his wheels at about 80mph. Thats crazy isn't it. He's developed other parts of the car so that he can get much better traction. If he feeds the throttle in, there's not much that can beat it. His 0-100mph time / qtr mile time would be ridiculous compared to a standard turbo like mine.

Cool. I saw my first Elise here in Columbus, Georgia going the other direction yesterday. I can't wait to see one parked. I don't believe we have a dealer here, have to go to Atlanta 90 miles away for that.
I hope the Elise does well here and we get more cars like it. I hope I'm not the only American that finds Sport Utes wasteful, extravagant, and generally an eyesore and a roadblock. But, to each his own. It is a free country and I wouldn't want anyone telling me not to drive a sports car.
I've been wishing the Elise would come over here for a long time. When it was announced to come over and I gave it some serious thought I started thinking it was too extreme. Part of that is because I'm 42, 5' 8", and have expanded to 230 pounds. I'm losing weight and working out though. If I come across an Elise I will have to give it a test sit![Smilie](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
gav350z, do you have any more pictures of the VX next to the Z?

I have a video showing how to get in and out of an Elise S1. I couldn't find any links on the net to it. I don't know if the S2 is any easier to get into or not. The movie is inandout.wmv and is about 2mb. I can email it if anyone wants to see it. my email address is:
