Looking Good, Bruce!

Glad they left off the front plate. Careful how you rub the door handle............... That smile might disappear!

Congrats, Bruce!

Did you tell them to leave the front plate off?

I'm at a quandry about whether or not I want to let them put it on when I get my Z. I really don't want to get annoying tickets all the damn time. My front plate fell off of my first car and I managed to get 3 tickets in a couple months just for that. (while the car was parked on a public street or in a public parking lot)

Nice color choice Bruce. That would have been my 2nd or 3rd option... but the Silverstone did me in.

Enjoy!

Congrats! Nice color! Your car matches the autumn foliage in the background.

Thanks everybody's nice word.

As for the front plate, I listened to Frank and many other's suggestion and left it off. In fact, because I called my dealer only about a hundred time telling them no to put it on, them decided not to instell it on any of the 350Z without request.

Tickets? Just nicely remind the officer that it is aganest the law to put a front plate on the Z.

The car looks great Bruce! I can't wait to see it at our next Chicago gathering. Lemans Sunset is the only color I haven't seen in person.

One Bruce down, one to go. Other Bruce: When are you finally going to get your Z?

Great looking car Bruce!

I do have one question for you (or anyone else who owns or has seen the LeMans Sunset)...

I keep reading in this forum that the photos of the LeMans Sunset color look different from how the car appears in person. The consensus seems to be that it looks richer in the photos, but seems less so (and more 'orange') in person.

Bruce (or anyone), how close are your pictures above to the actual color of your Z?

Kyle

Thumbs up One down, one to go...

Hey, so that's what a sunset looks like. It's been getting dark so early lately that I almost forgot! Congratulations on reaching the end of one journey and the beginning of many to come.

Your color of choice is definitely growing on me with each new picture I see - can't wait to see it on the street one of these days. Get ready for an attention overload!

So guys, should we give Bruce enough time to get the hang of driving a stick before the next Chicago get-together, or find a really busy intersection on a hill and meet tomorrow night?

Talking Terrific!!!!

GREAT color choice!

LeMans is very different in person than in pictures, depends on the lighting and the 3-D effect.

Building mine now....here in Feb.!

Z on!
70 zcar (gold, stock, award winner)
78 zcar (blue, modified, autocross)
84 zcar (grey, turbo, driver)
03 zcar (LeMans Sunset, Enthusiast, Soon!)

Thumbs up

LeMans Sunset changes with the time of day and the cloud cover. It is always stunning, even more so when the sun is out and there is not a cloud in the sky.

I got my Z from Arlington Nissan in Bufflo Grove. They are pretty good other than trying to sell me millions of accessories. Good part is they tell me that any time I like, I can drop by and get free hand car wash.

On the color, it is exactly like you see in my pics if seeing under nice afternoon sun light. The color is good and unique at night still, but is nowhere as beautiful as in the morning. That's why I didn't even take any pic last night when I got my car. In a cloudy day, it is no good, but so is any color( in my opinion).

By the way, do our chicago area group has all the colors?
I kind wanna see the red one.

I saw my first Le Mans in person a couple weeks ago, and then managed to have one behind me (while I was in my Brickyard) as I merged onto the highway on the way to work. We ended commuting together for about 20 miles before I exited. My girlfriend really liked the Le Mans in person, and said it reminded her of Butterscotch. In person the color is much more subdued than it looks in pictures, smoother, less bright, but in many ways I think it is even more good looking. Probably much easier to live with because it is not quite as bright as the concept color. On my monitor, Jeremy's crashed Z looks the closest to the actual color of the two that I've seen in person.

The color really is very impressive.
