Raced a 760iL
agreed...but on a track...nod goes to the Z.
I would take a 760 all day long if I had teh choice.
I drove a 745 for a few days and even that is close to the Z in straight line power!

0-60 mph in 5.4 seconds, top speed of 155 mph. couldnt find quarter-mile/skid-pad stats.

Have any of you guys ever driven a MBenz S600 or an S55? Now those are fast! They'd blow the doors off a 760I. The 760I is fast, especially for being a huge tank, but it's not quite the spectacle everyone's making it out to be. Faster than a Z? Could be, especially since most M/T drivers aren't that good and all you have to do in the 760 is stomp on the gas, but it's not the humiliation everyone's saying it is. They have a lot of torque so they feel really fast.
Actually my uncle owns a S600 '04, that's the 500bhp Bi-turbo one, it's a great car (even though he never let's me drive it) has masses of torque and blows away anything it encounters, the best thing i like about that thing is that it has ABC suspension or something, also known as "air suspension" so it works with air and really smoothes the road even if you are driving over a very rough road (BTW My uncle lives in germany, and the roads there suck :-p) and it has the massive advantage that when pulling away from a total stop or braking hard, it doesnt dive like the old S classes, but still it's very heavy and does tend to give a little bit of a "boat" feeling when cornering hard... but for the rest it is a perfect car, too bad it's only affordable by the very rich :-( well i like the Z more! I did so much hard work to be able to afford it, and now i can't wait untill it's being delivered :-D
