Question Good Deal?

Well at Herb Gordon nissan in silver spring Md.. i called and was originally looking for a 05 enthu or performance but he offered me a 04 turing with all options in PPW/charcoal for 29,975 brand new no miles ... is this a good deal he told me it was around 1500 under invoice ? Is this right ? Should i take him up on that or should i try for the 05?

I think it’s a good price but you can probably do better. Keep it mind even thou its new its still one year old. If that makes any sense. Let’s say in 2 years you want to sell the car. You would get more money for an 05 than an 04.

As long as you get exactly what you want for the price you’re willing to pay go for it. There is no point getting a different color or different options just to save a few bucks.

Good luck with your purchase.

That sounds like an extremely good price to me. I thought the touring was like closer to 35 msrp. My enthusiast was about the same price he offered you. You aren't going to get an 05 for the same price though, so I would take the 04. But if you can somehow get a similar price on an 05, i'd take that. If it were between an 03 and an 04, i would choose the 04 because of not wanting to get the first production year ya know. Dont do anything you will regret though

Sounds like a great deal. I just bought a Daytona Blue Touring 6 speed at invoice the other day.

It sounds like he's had the car for a while, which is partly why you're getting the good price.

Remember also that if you qualify Nissan currently is offering %2.0 financing on '04s. If you get the 2005 you may be looking at %5.0 which is going to make quite a difference in payments in the long run.

Nothing changed on the Touring (unless you're looking at an AT). I would go with the '04 unless you can get the '05 at invoice. Personally I prefer the smaller payment. In the end when you sell the car you're probably looking at the same amount of profit either way. A '05 will be worth more, but is it going to be worth more if you pay close to MSRP and finance at %5.0 then a '04 at $1500 under invoice at %2.0. Doubtful.

I got an '04 base from Herb Gordon last week for $24,100. My buying service said that was $1500 under invoice, and the best they could do for me would be $900 over for that car. So the way I see it is I saved $2400 anyway.
