**PIAA has the 1st HID REPLACEMENT BULB!!!
PIAA Corporation continues to advance the world of H.I.D. technology with the introduction of its new Super Cobalt HID replacement bulb, a powerful upgrade over factory HID bulbs, announced company Executive Vice President. The PIAA Super Cobalt is the aftermarket’s first HID replacement bulb.
The PIAA HID Super Cobalt bulb features a far higher Kelvin rating 6600 Kelvin than stock OEM HID bulbs, which are typically rated at of 3800 Kelvin. (The sun shines at 5250 Kelvin.) The PIAA Super Cobalt’s combination of higher Kelvin rating and bulb design creates a light beam so clean, clear, and crisp that light from a stock HID bulb appears “muddy” by comparison.
The PIAA Super Cobalt is available in the two most common bulb configurations, D2R and D2S. Popular PIAA Super Cobalt applications include the Acura TSX, BMW 3 and 5 series, Infiniti G35, Land Rover Range Rover, Lexus IS300, Mazda RX-8 and Mazda 3, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Mini Cooper, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, Nissan 350Z, Subaru Impreza STI, and Volvo S40.

I have also heard about higher output H.I.D. bulbs causing the internals (wiring, etc.) to melt as they were meant to output a certain voltage to run the stock bulbs, but bulbs that shine brighter usually require a higher voltage in order to create a higher output. Has anybody heard about this effect, and care to comment?

how credible is motior vs piaa?
damn i want to try the piaa but don't know if the $380 improvement is worth it. i wish we had e-codes like my audi. euro spec housing with better beam.
