My highest top speed was 159 mph in stock configuration. It felt like it wanted to go faster but the governer finally kicked in I suppose. This is strange as I thought the Z was supposed to be governed at 120 mph. Ah well 159 is my current best... I want to hit 180 mph and I'll be happy.

159 makes perfect sense as the limiter is 155 mph and the Speedo will always read a bit fast.

I've gone 140mph on the same track with a Z Roadster and a Boxster S, and both of them were with the top down. I thought that the Z felt more stable than the Boxter at that speed, although both were great. The Z also had less wind buffetting.

Okay, so in response to my own post I have to say I have some serious respect for Evo's and STi's now--went to the drag strip today and they were kicking some serious *** over even the Supercharged Z's with us--many were in the low-mid 12's. Being all wheel drive the Evo's hook right up whereas the SC'd Z's just sit there and spin. Still don't know if those wings do anything other than tell the cops what you're driving though...

Z feels great only thing I dislike is the floating feel it has when you hit bumps it tends to bounce but this problem is fixed with a set of springs =)

What kind of springs do you use to fix this bounce? I find this bounce very annoying.

How much are these springs?

Thanks,
Baron

I still have the stock springs but from what I've read almost any aftermarket lowering spring will do the trick

http://www.mynismo.com

cost you 150-250 depending.....

But think about how they spent almost twice as much for the car. Then you won't feel as bad.

How about a link to the thread where that quote came from. It's utter BS.
