Default 2004 BASE, BLACK for $24,500

After days of searching online and real life, this dealer in Saint Petersburg gave me a STICKER price(no tax YET) of $24,500 for a brand new 2004 BASE, BLACK with all the mats, plates, and cargo convience package. This price is the very first offer the dealer gave. so with that in mind, how much more do you guys think I can ask them to lower the price?? is it reasonable to ask them to go down to a low $23K?? thanks guys.

hmm I don't think there is much more room. I got my base for that price on the VPP program...

but I don't know...it's a good price I think. Does it come with sideairbags?

I got my 04 base with side airbag for $25,000 and I also waited for about 3 months. You can try to ask them to lower the price, it wont hurt to try. Beside the 05's are out.

Now I am confused. It seems like almost everybody wants to get the Enthu. model instead of the Base. I've been driving old cars all my life so i cannot really value the importance of TCS, and the LSD that the BASE model is lacking. I am in Tampa, FL. so basically it's always warm where I live, in the winter it might get down to low 50's or high 40's. With that in mind, do you think I still need to get the Enthu. model instead of the Base?? I drive very carefully, definately no race tracks or street racing. Because I really dont want to spend extra $2k for the enthu. if I dont need the TCS, and the LSD. Please give some inputs. Thanks guys.

Kewli,

Nice, I used to live on Anna Maria Island, right over the Skyway. Anyways, I wouldnt waste the loot on the upgraded model esp. if you plan on doing mods. With the higher level trim, all you get is a few more bells and whissles.. but nothing higher level when it comes to engine and transmission. The base model is awesome, and usually u can secure a great price on it. Give you more loot to spend on mods. My base, I got at $25,500 w/tax. This left me $4k from what i was expecting to pay for a new set of Volks, and future in vestment in Stoptech's.

For 24500 i'd go with the base. Make sure its a 2004.5 just to play it as safe as possible with the 'feathering' problem.

For anyone who got the Nismo wing, how much did it cost and does that include installation?

don't forget the xenon lights and most importantly, cruise control that you get with the enthusiast.

Lockey Nissan Dealer in ClearWater gave me that price. Do you guys happen to know any reputable dealer in the area?

Go to the Nissan site & find page that provides a comparison of models to get complete list of differences; it is more than LSD & TCS.

Definitely try to get them down farther on the price. At worst they'll say no and you can get it for $24,500. You should be able to chip off a few hundred bucks. But even if you can't, 24,5 is a great price.

Yeah, At least I should be able to ask them to throw in a clear bra or some good tires instead of the shitty stock ones.

well, dead cost on one is just under 25k, they are probably going to tack a dealer fee on top of the 24.5 to make it a wash deal and move a unit. its a good deal, but dont be surprised if they boot you out of the showroom for trying to negotiate more on the 24.5 figure.

It never hurts to ask. We compromised on the price with our dealer and we were ok with $26k. Eventually we had them down to $26,400 (basically $26k + DMV registration fees)....and my wife was like "Oh come on, we're only talking about the registration cost. On a car this expensive surely you can cover that. That's hardly anything." They caved and we got the car for $26k.

Just don't act too eager to get the car. Be more reserved. If I were you I'd figure out what you'd want the most: cheaper car price, free bra, floor mats, etc., before going in there. Or bring a list and just rattle them off until they hear something they're willing to do. That type of negotiating makes me really uncomfortable but luckily my wife wasn't too keen on the car so she was really firm on our price.
