Sorry for the shameless plug. I was watching the start of Speed's coverage of the 2004 Sports Car Club of America Runoffs today. The second race was GT2 and featured, among others, the 350Z of defending champion Jim Goughary.
The Speed camera crew did a piece in the Nissan tent and pit reporter Jim Bigasano (sp?) was interviewing Jim. He mentioned last year's electrifying race and held up a copy of the Winter 2003 issue of Sport Z. Our cover shot for that issue was of the 350Z VAULTING over the polesitting Porsche and going on to score its first National Championship.
Some hack writer from Sport Z went on to detail Goughary's amazing story in that issue. If you're at all inclined to watch some racing on Christmas Day, Speed will be re-running all the races that day. See how the 350Z does at the '04 Runoffs and get a glimmer of the five seconds of cable time that Sport Z magazine garners!
Can that Super Bowl ad campaign be far behind!?

Yeah, that was cool. Congrats to SportZ for the exposure, and to their hack writer who seems to find a way to make the Runoffs even when he doesn't make the Runoffs.
The SportZ spot was neat, but it didn't make up for the fact that a certain red #7 was conspicuously absent from the GT-5 race that aired right before (although the third place finisher in GT-5 looked awfully familiar to me.)

It's Bisignano ! Met him out in Colorado at an Alfa Convention . Great guy , had a few beers with him . Do you remember when he was the pit reported for F1 on the old Speedvision years ago ?
Heh, when I saw them flash last year's issue on camera, I made a note to myself to see if you have any of those issues laying around. For those of you who didn't see the photoshot on the cover, the front end of GT2 Z is about 4+ feet off the ground.
So do you have any spare issues available?
