I'm sure the real models will look alot nicer than those images....
That 08 Z is too ugly to be made in real life. The Supra looks good but the its just a concept picture. I'm sure it'll look real good once we see real pictures. It won't look as concepty.

if the new Z has a 3.8 liter wouldn't they call it the 380Z?
and if that motor will be in there im guessing it will just be a high compression GTR motor if anyone has done their homework. in that ad they said the 08 Z will have a 3.8 liter version of the VQ. and the new GTR is going to have a twin turbo 3.8 liter version of the VQ. im guessing the 380Z and GTR are going to be just like the 300ZX N/A and TT. 300ZX was VG30DE and VG30DETT. and im guessing the new engine codes will be VQ38DE and VQ38DETT.
so maybe a direct bolt in swap will give 380Z owners a RWD GTR without spending 70-80 grand on one (that ad says the 08 Z will still be around $30k)....OR.......put GTR internals in the motor that comes in the Z (kinda what Lexus IS300 people do with Supra TT internals), boost it, and BOOM, u have a GTR. kinda what Z32 owners also do right?

Not to rain on anyone's parade here, but just FYI scanning magazine articles and/or reposting published content from magazines (especially recent issues) without permission is a violation of copyright.
I bring this up because I'm an active member of another auto forum (CaymanClub.net) and we just got nailed by the publisher of Excellence magazine for putting up article scans and reposting article content word-for-word, and had to take them all down.

I'll bet that no supra will be officially released for sale before the end of 2008. any takers?

Somone sent a message in the Suprafourms sent a message regarding the 2008 Supra mentioned in the recent R&T Magazine regarding the return of the Supra. Here is Toyota's Response to this person (10/04/06):

We appreciate your interest in the Supra.
We apologize; we do not currently have any announced plans to re-introduce the Supra in the U.S. market. We are, however, aware of consumer interest in this type of vehicle and have documented your comments at our National Headquarters under file #200610050227.

2008 350z
in the November Road & Track they have the 2008 350Z up, in yellow. The headlights are more rounded now, looking more like Porsche, theyve ditched the doorhandles that the Z has had since it began, the front grill is brand new, there are vents on the front fenders, and the engine is supposed to be bumped up to 3.8 Liters with 350 horsepower. They also have a pic of the new 2008 Toyota Supra. It's based on the lexus IS platform, with the GS350's motor in it, pumpin 350 hp and 290 pound feet of torque. They said it will weigh around 3200 pounds and get to 60 in the mid-4-second range. Tell me what you guys think about all this
