F1-Style paddle shifters in the next Z...
not all paddle shifting systems are equal
you have auto transmissions of all different kinds, then single clutch electrhydraulic (like smg) and dual clutch electrohydraulic (like dsg).
imo nissan should develop a dual clutch electrohydraulic transmission... and offer it on FM platform cars. jmho though.

the paddle shifters will happen, regardless of this poll. Its already in the G sport, its going in the GT-R, and it will go in the Z with automatic transmissions. The only question i have is, how does the G keep getting the upgrades before the Z? or is it simply that the G has a 6 month earlier release date for the same year cars? which would mean we're gonna see a 370Z for january 2008
Fluid, imo, you're the biggest troll on these forums.

Then they just might actually apply that DEVELOP those ideas to their design of their new products.
I find it funny that you intstantly resort to immaturity. You have no clue about marketing or how consumer products work pal. When you get 1 day of experience in a real world job...let me know. Then you might actually be able to have a mature conversation.

You must have a marketing degree? lol
So. Nissan marketing has what to do with this thread, douche?

As a 350Z owner, and racer of said car, I am certainly not a troll.
As my first post in this thread suggests, this thread fails. As do all of you getting so hot under the collar. Take a step back and read it again.
Don't you feel great for your reaction to a thread, on the internet, like this one?
Kisses, girls

Yeah, i know more and more cars are getting the paddle shifters. But somehow i see that it is more fitting for exotics. In regular Japanese sport car...i just see it as a automatic. The one in RX-8 and the new Lancer look really stupid to me (sorry if this offened anyone); those cars have the paddle shifters on steering wheel column AND a traditional regular automatic shifter next to you. What's the point of having 2 different shifters that would do the same thing?
If they gonna copy the european, i think i would be better for them to remove the traditional shifter that place next to the driver like Ferrari, Aston, Lambo, etc. At lease, the car will look that it has a "proper" paddle shifting system.

Paddle shifters are a marketing gimmick. That commercial with the 2 dorks in the mitsubishi just makes me laugh.
I had them in my IS250 what a waste. Of course the tranny in the lexus was too slow. Even when I test drove the GTI with the DSG is just felt wrong. Such a discconnected feeling.
I don't care if these autos shift faster it's not going to make a difference in 99% of driving situations you cannot beat manual for the visceral feel .

I'm sorry that you have lost your sense of humor. Please go have a coke and a smile.

For your 213th post, it wasn't very helpful or informative. Hypocritical, yes.

Hmmm - wrong again. And what's with the name calling. Can't you debate like a normal person. The immaturity that exists in you only makes me wonder how you got through the cracks at Maersk or Bank of America. Hmm - guess, as the saying goes, you CAN fool some of the people some of the time.
Anyway - to answer your question, no degree in marketing. Mechanical Engineering and I work in Research & Development at Procter & Gamble - the largest consumer products company in the world. You might have heard of some of our products, to name a few: Dawn, Downy, Tide, Gain, Febreeze, Olay, Duracell, Oral B, and Gillette...just to name a few. So, you can say I know a thing or two about marketing for consumers.
You still have no point here. Whether or not Nissan ever sees this poll is irrelevant. I said that companies use their marketing department to find out what consumers want. One way to do that is the internet. We use it all the time. A simple Google search could pick up forums...like this one...and that is research.
Now, go back to loading shipping containers on the boats.

No offense, but I'm an Art Director in the Marketing Department and we really don't want R&D giving advice on how to marketing products and services.
PS just kidding. I'm sure you have wonderful ideas, carry on.

LOL - nice one.
The way we work...R&D has to give advice to marketing. Otherwise, they would just brainstorm inpossible ideas that no one could possibly make.

It doesnt have to be Nissan that does it, all it takes is third part manufacturer to see and before you know it the kits are on the market.
But I agree it should have the SMG there it NO point in having it if there is like Hella lag on te shifts.

You are obviously not in the R&D department, and continue to talk out the bum.
No amount of febreeze is going to justify your 'argument'.
This thread will do nothing for the transmission of the upcoming Z. Case in point.
