240Z and the 370Z.....it's comin'

The car won't look anything like that but if you think about it, it's not a bad idea. With the new 370z there is now room in the market for a lower performance/price sports car. The VQ35DE or HR would be an ideal engine to fill this gap. That may also prevent the HR engine from being a "one off" type of engine. It really seems doubtful that Nissan would spend the money to develop the engine only to use it for two model years. Maybe this is what the overall plan was in the first place. Move the Z up a notch and create a new car to fill the gap using the existing technology.
