Default Lost to a 240z with 302 V8

My wife and I were on 121 headed to see Matrix and this older guy was pacing us in this 240Z and we so happen to hit a light. We had the window down and he said nice Z yada yada and he revved so my wife said WTH do it, boy he got us of the line( I had a good launch too no wheel spin) and by 80 he was a few car lengths up and we shut down by then, he was heading to Grapevine Mills Mall as well we pull up to him and he said you shocked I said H. yeah, he said I have 302 and some other mods in it I was like ah. Comes to find out this guy has 2 other Z's, 1 280ZX with V8 sand a 300TT. If your in the Dallas area and see a 50ish guy in glasses in a White 240Z with fat tires with UT Alumni Lisence plat frame beware, he might shock/suprise ya!

I am guessing but I would bet it was a 5.0 (302) engine from Ford(?). Domestic engines have a huge number of options for making more power. You should have raced him on some twisties. That big cast iron boat anchor hanging over the front wheels would have raised the pucked factor for him and he would have slowed early. Just mu guess ....

Default V8 240z's

Actually because of the 1st generation Z's (s30)'s enormous engine bay, v8's can actually be placed closer to the firewall and much lower, and thus it's handling wouldn't be compromised. Many people have put 350 chevy's in their Z's and the handling doesn't seem to have gone kaput. Just my .2

He is always lurking around 121 between Colony and Grapevine, I have had several encounters on the service road and actual 121 between Lewisville and Grapevine Mills.
