370Z Release Date: Taking all bets...
Not really. I don't gamble. However, I will add this tid-bit from a long time ago, as reported by LeftLane back in 2006:
So what's it gonna be? Eh? Late 2008/early 2009 as a 2009 MY, mid 2009 as a 2009 MY, late 2009 as a 2010 MY, or are you sticking to the 2011 rumor? Remember, this news article came before the rumors of the Z being pushed back...
Since there's no harm in speculating, if you think you have a good reason to think what you do, by all means, let us in on it.
Enjoy.
Nissan has updated its popular 350Z sports car to feature the company's latest VQ35 V6 powerplant. The engine first debuted in the 2007 Infiniti G35 sedan, producing an SAE-certified 306 horsepower. While the previous 350Z was rated at 300 horsepower, the new engine should feel reasonably quicker, because its output was not measured under the new strict SAE standards.
In a statement released this week, Nissan product planning VP Larry Dominique spoke about the much-discussed 2009 Z. "The price of GT-R will keep it above the mass market, but Z is attainable by most. The next generation Z will continue to deliver upon that promise," Dominique said. "It will have considerably more performance than the current model and give a visual stimulus beyond today’s Z. This value and performance proposition will be even better than today, continuing an almost 40-year tradition as Nissan’s brand icon."

I think it will arrive late 09 as a 370Z with very small improvements. Doing this will make it more competative, won't cost too much to do and will tide over the design which is 5 years old. Basically another DE --> HR type thing.
Loosing 300 lbs is entirely possible. Taking my buddy's 07 Exiege S on willow springs shows just how far you can go to remove weight (And how wonderful the lack of weight can be!)
Unfortunately the Coupe market is tight in the US, and as of late, it is being invaded by a lot of new designs (Good for consumer, bad for corporation since they will get less of the Coupe pie) I just hope that with the GT-R Nissan doesn't give up on it's bread and butter sports car.
It would be awfully nice to get the GT-R's 3.8 engine, even if they leave it NA.

I'm saving up for the MY02 model Should be able to sell my Z, then put in the extra saved money and take an 2010 Z home without monthly payment. Should be a hoot!
350hp, 3200lbs, 6-speed, Bangle-butt rear, aston vantage-ish front end or 8C-ish front end, and I'll be happy!
Yes, I like that rear Bangle butt on those fake renderings! Love the rear high hump! Aston Martin vintage look for the win!

Some people here voted 2011 because its more like thats when they hope it comes instead of what they actually think. Reason being is probably they just bought a Z.

in.the.dark, this is a good way of settling the dispute
Mid 09 release as an 09 model. And I would like to add that my choice will hinge on the Paris auto show: if thats a concept car, I stick to my choice, if its full production, I go with Late 08 as an 09.

^ don't you ever have anything useful to say? stop wasting internet space with your garbage. You seem mad that the 07 Z you've just bought will be replaced with something better and probably soon.

When I am told by some internal people at Nissan when the Z is going to be here I believe what they say over what people say on the Internet.
